Here are the 2 questions from the journalist (translated from french):
1. I know Scientology has a campaign against psychiatry here in Québec. Are there any scientific critiques made by credible sources regarding their campaign against psychiatry, but also their teachings in general(see q. 2)?

I have personally contacted
Ordre des psychologues du Québec and my answer was that they were very familiar with scientology and that they were keeping an eye out for them.
I also invite you to check
This Thread
About the plans financed by scientology for their front group CCHR against the neurocité project.
Radio Canada did a report on it last year you can find it here (in french)

I do think this is true, I spoke with ex members that still believed even after leaving the church, that they were the reincarnation of this or that great persona.
When they follow these courses, some of the techniques resemble hypnotism a lot.
Check

1. Does Scientology pay taxes in Quebec?

Not that I know of, since they consider it as donations, as long as we are speaking about auditing, at least that is what Karine Bélanger (scientology
PR for quebec city) said when she went on air on radio-x. That is a good question though.

It is considered a sect by germany and france, but I'm not 100% certain if other countries than switzerland have similar laws.
