Thanks for honoring my late friend Lisa.
I would personally prefer that pictures of her be limited to those when she was alive.
She was killed by Scientologists' negligence and arrogance as well as greed.
I hope her memory can prevent this happening to others.

That makes sense....but just seems "off" for a memorial. Those images are jarring and more in line with a protest rather than a memorial.

Agreed. It's one thing to memorialize a person's death and promote awareness about the reasons behind it, but using their death photos as shock value verges on exploitation. We don't want to be like those anti-abortion fanatics with their pictures of aborted fetuses (although many of their pictures are fake).

Driving by a bunch of people holding up pictures of a corpse automatically gives a negative association with those people. People holding up candles and images of a woman is something much easier to sympathize with.

She wasn't a hero, she wasn't a martyr, her death is no more or les tragic than any death

You know I should have read this thread more closely. I don't think for a memorial the death pics should be used.

Granted those arguing that it's exploitation, so would using her memorial as anything other then remembering her life.

Kinda hard when she's become a representative of all those scientology has killed.

For these kinds of events, the scilons try to disrupt, but not in an obvious way...such that people driving by think they are supporting us. I say let 'em fail and make our group look bigger

Lisa McPherson is a powerful symbol on so many levels. You can see in her face the heartbreaking potential that was snuffed out. That potential speaks much louder than the horror that was documented, though Lisa's family should be commended for releasing important photos that saved countless lives.

Lisa's nightmarish story is a perfect encapsulation of Scientology abuse, neglect and arrogance. It's also a horrible testament to how indulging the cult and allowing them to be secretive, own police forces and seclude people can be deadly.

Lisa's story went a long way to stopping the courts from releasing drug addicts into the hands of Narconon to be locked up in hotel room with the Scions.

Your choice is simple: join us and live in peace, or pursue your present course and face obliteration. We shall be waiting for your answer. The decision rests with you.

Just have police quickly and quietly (lol..) remove AO from the area citing recent and past harassment of women.

Hell, good idea to even call police in advance to let them know about AO to get him removed right away from the anon group. If he wants to make a scene, he can do it 4 blocks down the road.
