Today was Beyond EPIC!!! First the Cult tried to get us kicked out of the parade, which only showed the organizers that the cult is batshit insane, then we were put in front of the Raliens! :eek: pics, video, and moar epicness will follow later! =)

Our (kinda) super sekret raid was truly epic!!

25+ anons attended

Our group's name in the parade was "The Electric Squirrels".
Two months worth of planning went into this! Clam heads were there. Xenu was there, the money monster was there, L. Ron was there, roller derby Volunteer Minister was there candy was thrown! AO was ESCORTED AWAY BY SECURITY! And the Scifags tried to get us kicked out of the parade, and were told by the parade coordinator, NO U!

There were a ton of people that packed the 4 or so blocks on Colorado Blvd. One of our handlers Jeff was caught writing license plate numbers down in a parking structure and got the cops called on him. Handlers showed up with cameras and we just pointed them out to the people around us! Speaking of which, we had Raelians right behind us too!! They had a dude on stilts with alien glasses and a huge FUCKING alien ship too!

When the parade started we got tons of people reacting positively to us, and our free candy ;). We had one anon holding a stick with some money attached on a string, which L. Ron, the money monster, and the VM on skates chasing around, which got many laughs from the crowd. AND Then OUT OF FUCKING NO WHERE, AO popped out of the crowd and joined us (on a side note, we asked the anons who showed up to pay $10 because we had a select few spots, which AO never paid.) He brought signs that said "Scientology killed Mario Majorski" and "Katie, you look like shit". This caused one officer to come up to Scarff and ask him to get those signs down and two parents came out of the crowds and told the anons AO gave the signs to, to please bring them down because of their kids.

Finally, we took the signs down after the second parent's complaint, and stuffed it in the Volcano. AO saw this and tried to pull the sign out of the volcano, almost breaking the tip of it. After this anon delivered great justice and got a cop on him who of course escorted him out to the cheers of the anons participating in the parade!

We passed out many, many flyers along with the candy and had plenty of people ask us about Scientology, and want pictures with our clams, xenu, and money monster!

LA fucking delivered and made the Scifags publicly baww!!

The doo dah parade has been going on for 20+ years in Pasadena. Basically, it's a goofy, free speech heavy parade! There was a guy who dressed as the pope in a real dress and carrying an umbrella with crosses on it. The queen of the parade is a drag queen. People before us had thrown tortillas and marshmellows on the street!

It used to be on local tv until a few years ago! There was live streaming video up though.

Oh, so much fuuuuun. I couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out!

The Doodah Parade is the "Anti-Rose Bowl Parade" - everything whacky, wicked and unsavory is welcome! No uppityness allowed! This was the 32nd year and Pasadena looooooves it. There were an estimated 45,000 showing up today - I'm no good at guessing crowd sizes myself, so we'll have to wait for press coverage. Throwing marshmallows and tortillas at the people marching in the parade is one of the traditions!

A few of our handlers arrived while we were setting up and tried to convince the organizers that we shouldn't be allowed to march. They were told that "the Doodah Parade supports free speech". Ha ha! In your face, assholes!

AO did arrive, maybe halfway through the parade and just started marching with us. Everyone who had paid to be in the parade had a little sticker to prove it, and he didn't have one - we asked him to put down the offensive signs he had ("Scientology Killed Mario Majorski" and "Katie - YOU LOOK LIKE SHIT!") because there were TONS of kids in the audience. Then parents started complaining...so 4 or 5 anons asked him to put away the signs, again. Even Scarff asked him to put them away - AO told him to "fuck off". We confiscated the sign, tucked it inside the volcano and he reached in and grabbed it back - we were trying to not make a scene in the middle of the parade. Finally, one anon went over and told a cop (not security - real cop!) that he wasn't with us, he was disturbing us, and the crowd. As soon as the cop got over to where we were standing, AO knew he was beat. He just lowered his signs and walked away with the cop.

All in all, it was fucking awesome.

If I may add to what Snake said...
This was 32nd Pasadena Doo Dah Parade. It originally started as a reaction to the Rose Parade...which is very stuffy and official. The Doo Dah uses a portion of the same route as the Rose Parade, but is shorter I think.

If you do flickr or youtube searches, you will find many funny entries.

Very fun and low key. Marchers throw candy to the crowd, and the crowd throws tortillas and marshmallows at the marchers...if they are dissatisfied with the candy, or they just feel like it.

I cannot wait to see pics. I bet everyone had fun!
