This is a letter from Happy Smurf to Anonymous:

On Saturday, at the raid at Big Blue, I was invited to participate in Anonymous' marching in the Pasadena Doo Dah Parade. I understand that SoCal Anon had to pay an entry fee to be in the parade and so participating with Anonymous in the parade was by invitation only.

I had a great time today with alot of cordial, happy (and hot, sunburned) anons. Despite my being labelled a member of the Epic Fail Brigade, I was treated as if I wasn't and I appreciate that. I had a great time, including chasing the Scilon twits.. Tim Armer, Jeff Farrow & Flyer Guy around the park before the parade.

I was a little taken aback, however, to see Tim there with his wife & young kid.

Unfortunately, something occurred during the parade today , caused by one person, that changed the whole dynamic of why we were in the parade. This one person, who has consistently ignored & scoffed at the numerous suggestions of many well-meaning people to be front-and-center in everything he does, regardless of the harm it causes other people, caused an uproar which could have easily been prevented if this person thought, just once, of other people's feelings other than his own.

This person was not invited to participate in the parade. He decided to show up & walk with the group.

The Pasadena Doo Dah Parade is an annual event and a favorite of children & adults. There were thousands of young children lining the parade route today. Where they & thier parents may not have understood who Anonymous was and why they are critical of Scientology; one thing was very certain today.

Parents, police, and fellow anons were clearly angered by this person's poster in bold, black letters.. "KATIE LOOKS LIKE SHIT."

And after this was brought to his attention by several anons in the parade, which he chose to ignore, claiming that "people love it", a bit of a physical altercation ensued another anon who ordered him to stop waving it as it was an embarassment to Anonymous and what we were trying to accomplish in the parade.

After the altercation, this individual continue to walk parallel to the crowds with his profane poster front and center with absolute no regard or consideration for anyone, period!!

It is not fun being called & pulled aside, asked if I was a person in-charge of the anon contingency (because I walked in front of the group filming) and being chastised for the offending poster of one person, and it wasn't just a few parents watching the parade that were offended by this. (Watch my Pasadena Doo Dah video, part 4).

This whole incident made me sick then and it makes me sick now and I hope SoCal anons take steps to see this never happens again even if it means getting the police involved. There was no excuse whatsoever for what happened today.

I just want to thank all the anons at the parade that made me feel welcome and part of your circle today. It meant alot to me.

I looked for you guys as it was streaming live on the internet, but didn't catch you guys (it was a looong parade). Can't wait to see the video. How great that you were right in front of the Raelians???!!! Hopefully the entire event wasn't ruined. Sounds like you guys did great, inspite of the *challenges*. Daile said he dropped off Tom Cruise and there were about 20 or so of you. That's awsome.

When I arrived at the protest in Tustin yesterday, AO was showing off his new sign and asked me if I liked it. I said, "I hate it." Then I took it away from him and held on to it for the duration. This is a bedroom community and I am a douchebag who doesn't want that stank anywhere near me. If AO refused to peacefully honor your request to lower the sign at the parade, you all were right to have him escorted away.

Besides all that, what a very cool day you had! Nice work LA Anons!
