Man goes to Narconon rehab for help and gets held against his will; made to endure Scientology teachings and bizarre verbal attacks. Wife sues.
A lawsuit was filed in Nevada County, CA last week by a woman who paid for
rehabilitation help for her now husband, only to find out that she was repeatedly deceived and the services were not as promised. Sarah Locatelli of Grass Valley, CA states Narconon denied her then fiance Daniel Locatelli any medical care when he needed it and kept him against his will when he asked to leave. He was also made subject to verbal attacks, often of an anti gay substance. He finally escaped after 4 days.

Background:
Locatelli filed suit against Newport Beach's Narconon Southern California and Narconon Joshua Hills, then located at what is now the location of Narconon Palm Spring on Hopper Rd, Palm Desert Springs - now at 82652 Lordsburg Dr in Indio Riverside County in CA This was after repeated requests for a refund were ignored.

Among the claims against the facilities and their employees and agents are breach of contract, fraud in the inducement, negligent misrepresentation and fraudulent misrepresentation. A referral help site unknowingly run by Narconon and it's agents is noted, as well as statements made to Mr. Locatelli during the 'therapy' which show a culture of hostility and intolerance.
The case centers on Narconon, a part of the secular arm of the Church of Scientology. As Mr. Locateii came to find out, Narconon hides the fact outright or tells victims they are not affiliated with Scientology and yet the program componients are the same as Scientology classes most just under a different title.

There is a history of complaints against Narconon where this is voiced. Multiple unsuspecting victims in complaints filed with state agencies and in courts across the country over the last 10 years have complainted about the degrading nature of the routines, the false promises of therapy and human rights abuses victims were subjected to while there. Scientology is currently being sued by former staff members for similar and more horrific civil and human rights abuses and labor law violations in the state of California.

This is a consumer complaint that resulted in a fast refund to keep it quiet. I had a copy of it before it went out, so I am posting it.

This is an ongoing problem with internet telecommunication fraud and deception. Narconon Nevada is an unregistered, unlicensed, and revoked organization run by Narconon Southern California, doing business in NV illegally and yet they are rated as one of the top employers in Lincoln County NV by the state department of labor and Training! You have to read this to see how deceptive this rehabilitation business really is.

I have no new information about this but it could be that with the big national case coming up in Paris the French did not want a second case running in Nice. I imagine (but IANAFL) that the Ballos can bring a civil action against the Nice org.

Actually, you misinformed the group. Do you want to tell them that your case has absolutely no merit, due to a little thing involving legislative immunity, or shall I? Do you want to tell them that your counsel is actually none other than your barking self rather than a competent lawyer or shall I? Do you want to tell that your case is so fucking deficient that it would get the filing lawyer sanctioned or shall I?

You claim:

The 6th amendment is for people who are accused of committing crimes not people who have been victims of crimes. So you where not denied this right unless you have been arrested and held with out trial.

The 14th amendment basically defined citizenship more broadly to include slaves that the GOVERNMENT prior had recognized as property. And is most noted for it's "Equal Protection" clause.

For example if the government said Ex- Scientologists can not sue Scientology (or anything else) in court you might have a case. It means that you have the same rights as everyone else.

Anonymous excels at one thing, that is spreading information around the globe at nearly 80% of the speed of light and that is kryptonite to organizations that rely on secrecy.

That's for the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals to decide--not for you or anyone else on this forum to decide. The fact that it accepted my appeal should indicate that it has merit. My case would not have been accepted otherwise--read the filing rules.

So... i read this. And I have a couple of critiques that you should understand are only meant to give HELPFUL criticism.

Main Point- GET A LAWYER.
Your response was, at best, not as legal as it should have been. For example, "Judge...Thacker not only committed treason..." This line should not have been in there. You always want to be respectful- even if the judge is an idiot. Why? Because it makes YOU look crazy, and your claim crazy. If this was written by a lawyer you hired (which it doesnt appear to be), then you need a new lawyer.

Secondly, if what I read was correct, you are demanding "a declaratory judgment declaring that the acts and practices of the Church of Scientology pose a hazard to the mental health of the American public." All i gotta say is... that is completely unrealistic, and I dont think they can do that.

anyhow, i cant see you successfully pursuing this...
