You're correct about Craig being the DG Legal USGO then. I remember going on a mission there from GOWW on behalf of Hubbard. It related to Hubbard's script for "Revolt in the Stars" and getting it out of one company's hands into another's. Craig helped set up meetings for me and assisted me on other matters.

Years later, mid 90s I believe, Craig and I also worked together. We were both CEOs of million+ dollar companies run by scietologists and as such were members of WISE's highest membership level called the "CEO Circle". He was CEO of Executive Software (what was Diskeeper then) and I was CEO of RealWorld Corporation.

We actually had CEO Circle meetings which Craig chaired. Our primary purpose was to help spread scientology via the running of our companies and we would work out and coordinate plans for doing so. I worked directly with Craig then from this capacity and once asked him why he maintained 100% ownership of his company as we at RealWorld split up the ownership so that a bunch of us could make big bucks some day when we sold it. Craig's answer was that he would never sell Executive Software (Diskeeper) as it was his main way to help spread scientology. Through employee incentives he would pay for many of his employees services in scientology organizations. For those who were not scientologists he would have them do "Hubbard" courses and turn as many of them as possible into scientologists.

Craig also said that he would use his wealth from owning Executive Software to get millions to organized scientology and would work out ways to try to get the company's business partners into scientology as well.

The bottom line is that Diskeeper was created to help make scientologists and get millions of dollars into the coffers of organized scientology. And that is right from Craig's mouth to my ears.

I understand why he did it as I was once of a similar mindset. But it's bullshit now that he's trying to hide that fact in the litigation so as to avoid his legal responsibilities for forcing scientology onto employees who did not want it.

[Attorney to Jensen] ... but you don't dispute that there is nothing magical about the course room at Diskeeper, such that employees who study company-required materials in the course room are the only ones capable of mastering the subject matter, as distinguished from persons who might study it outside the course room, correct?

A. [Craig Jensen responding] No, I think there is something magical about our course room, because I get letters from people and e-mails from people telling me how magical it is there, and I'm not trying to be cute with this. I believe it is a dramatic difference between studying there and studying at home.

For someone who wanted absolute ownership and control over (Executive Software / Diskeeper) Jensen sure showed how stupid he was in the deposition.

Starting on deposition transcript page 228 and running for a while, it describes where an employee wrote a main policy for him and put Craig Jensen's name on it. However, Jensen claims he doesn't recall ever seeing the policy. The policy was written in 1999 and was included in the Employee Handbook.

The scientologists would call this "an outpoint".

Others might call it an inconsistency.

Either way, it points to Jensen lying in the deposition (likely), or he was fast and loose in his company and allowed his employees to do things (without his knowledge) that could endanger the company (not likely).

The guy is a dweeb.

I hope he loses the case... and his company.

he should lose the case, and hopefully damages are sufficient that he loses the company too. imagine, if you will, a Christian CEO disbursing an employee handbook that cited the Gospels and required his employees adopt Jesus' teachings. he'd have the ACLU all over his ass in a heartbeat.

The ACLU rarely gets involves in disputes between private entities; there's a big difference where a state entity wrongfully terminates the employment of someone for religious reasons, and when a private entity does it. A private entity is far less restricted than a state with regard to the degree it can introduce religious practices into the workplace.

I'm not suggesting that what Diskeeper does is permissible under one standard but not the other--just that the ACLU doesn't become interested unless there's a state actor.

Check out the site. You will find vague info, expensive prices, and nothing offered higher than a Associate Degree (Not accredited of course)

But what ties this into this particular thread is one of the featured alumni testimonials.
