Simply put, a C&D letter is either a warning that you intend to display later in court if further action is needed, or it's a toothless threat designed to scare the recipient.

In response to concerns from some Anons about their dox being passed around in this oh-so-loving community (a damned reasonable concern, considering the things we consider "fun" ), the letters will be sent out individually rather than a single letter naming however many anons. This will not change anything in the OP other than each person gets their own letter (though the cost per batch will not change - it's just a matter of a mailmerge and a little postage).

In other news, the first batch will be going out soonish.

1/ responding is for a paper trail of your own concern IN CASE something else happens, only. and, as previously noted, dc is picking up the fairly minimal tab. ffs, the fee isn't even important. perhaps it varries by state and/or type of accusation as to when/where/how it is important to respond to accusations, but it is a good idea for your own protection (at least in my area) and documentation for later.

2/ no one said anyone is going to go into some sort of "what constitutes a felony" battle. (tho i'm sure people would, on their own, if the C0$ brought charges to that effect, etc.) the felony, as a crime, is not the point -- the fact is that what they are doing (even in delivering these letters, if they are as baseless as what i got) is a violation of your constitutional rights. and people should know that. that's why we're posting (KNOWLEDGE IS FREE but not always easily accessable ^.^).

3/ yes, my C&D said that authorities were contacted. that doesn't mean it means anything to *them* :D it means they contacted authorities and reported me for SOMETHING I DIDN'T DO and they had no personal knowledge or experience of me having done. again, violation of my rights. people should know that if this happens to them, their rights are being violated too.

4/ re bull-bait shut downs: responding is a way of NOT shutting down. it is an aggressive defense.


This entire offer of responses was due to one person (me) getting a C&D and basically saying to myself: when they push me, do i want to simply stand my ground by doing nothing about it or would i rather stand my ground while also telling them they are not within their rights to push me again?

As noted in the update in the OP, the first batch of letters with the exception of two or three we got with no contact information (over fifteen sent, I believe) has gone out. The people who didn't send contact info have been reached and they're set to have their letters sent tomorrow or the day after. There will be no earth-shaking reaction to this (if there is, the Co$' lawyers are amazingly stupid); the idea here is to now be ready to report any violation of that C&D to the authorities.

Why are we defying their C&Ds? Because they're accusing us of being terrorists, which we aren't. Anyone who thinks we're terrorists needs to talk to someone living in Northern Ireland, Israel, Iraq, or Afghanistan (among other places) in order to get an idea of the difference between a /b/tard (let alone a douchebag) and a terrorist.

Why are we going to be reporting violations of our C&Ds? Because we're telling them to stop trying to harass us into silence (which is, in fact, what they're doing). Everyone who has sent in letters, now is the time to make note of the circumstances and events of any contact with the Co$, in the event they decide to ignore the C&Ds.

Again, if you have received a C&D and have not done so already, please read the OP. The tl;dr send us a scan and contact information as described above, to either some.oldguy@yahoo.com, or marcabiaforever@gmail.com so we can get a counter-C&D (tl;dr NO U) out to the lawyers who contacted you.

If you already KNOW they know who you are, without a doubt and you got a C&D letter, you might as well get in on this and get a papertrail of your own started.

My thinking on this is that it really can't do any harm... and imagine what will happen if Peter Letterese's 250 mil dollar lawsuit against scientology (also naming tom cruise) gets won by his lawyer. You have a legal papertrail proving at least somewhat that they have fairgamed you... (especially that office delivery system) If Peter win's his lawsuit, you may as well contact Peter's lawyer and discuss what you have with him... perhaps as a whole in a class-action suit. Think how far them losing over 9000 monetary judgements over the next two years or so would go towards dismantling the cult. Not to mention that that kinda scratch buys alot of hookers.

OK. OK. Heidi. I have a big sister and am very aware of the phrase "Hell Hath no Fury Like a Woman Scorned." Do whatever it takes for you & the others to feel protected by this demonic cult. My big concern (because I've seen it happened with others) is that you not get so wired & tied up in all this that it eats at you and detrimentally affects your health & well-being.

I have seen people get so obsessed with "defending" themselves, it gets real ugly.

Just a side note - after the new OSA lady told us that she "will see us all in court," I replied to her fairly pithily (tl;dr: "put that on paper next time").

In my speech for the August global, I did a "word clearing" on Scientology, Suppressive Person, religion, loyalty, terrorist, and lulz (just because "corruption of lol" pisses me off). At the end, I basically repeated that sentiment above (tl;dr: "do it, faggot"), so please keep your eye out for C&Ds, as well as other harassment/shenanigans. Please contact us (or your own lawyer) to respond to the C&Ds, and please report any actions against you as detailed at great length here.

We haven't posted boilerplate because of possible legal issues (we're working on something that won't get us v&, but no promises since we're not lawyers, and no lawyer is willing to craft a one-size-fits-all letter to use in a situation they are not familiar with the specifics of), but the general AND NON-LAWYER-ORIGINATED idea of what you might want to say IN CONSULTATION WITH A LAWYER if you want to "roll your own" response to a C&D is discussed here.

At no time did I claim to speak for Anonymous, nor do I want to - but they're not so good at listening.

I think it is crucial to respond to a C&D. Specifically:

1. Acknowledge receipt of the letter to the law firm sending it. A failure to acknowledge a C&D can work against you. Things cost money in this world. Pay the money for a response as outlined on this thread. That money could wind up being the cheapest insurance you ever purchased. Never allow lies about you to go unchallenged. Stand up for yourself and your rights. Push back a bully and they usually run away.

2. In your response to the C&D, threaten legal action against the law firm, CoS, Ken Moxon, David Micavige, and unnamed John Does 1-100 for defamation of character for accusing you of being a terrorist. CoS has to prove that you are personally a terrorist. Furthermore, if Scientology ever took you to court it could only be on a civil matter. In this case, you would file a cross-complaint against the Cult for defamation of character, slander, and legal costs. This would allow you to put DM, Ken Moxon, Tommy Davis, and Heber Jenstchz on the stand. The Cult does not want DM on the stand. DM does not want to be exposed to a fishing trip in discovery.

3. In a civil trial, Scientology would have the burden of proving to a jury, based upon a preponderance of evidence, that you in particular are a terrorist. The Cult would have to define what a terrorist is under applicable laws, describe your exact acts of terrorism, and then produce incontrovertible evidence of your terrorist acts against CoS. Because protesting is legally protected, your attorney would, during trial, hand Scientology its ass on a plate. The jury would absolve you of terrorism charges -- which charges would be absurd in a civil trial -- and award you the millions or tens of millions of dollars you asked for due to the Cult's defamation of character, slander, intimidation, Civil Right violations, and everything else you alleged in your cross complaint and proved by a preponderance of evidence. You would also make the Cult issue a written public apology to you in as a condition of settlement.

4. It all begins with acknowledging the C&D. Acknowledge receipt of the C&D and object to its "baseless and defamatory accusations" against you. Double curve your reply, as LRH taught, by stating that you welcome an investigation by the FBI, Scotland Yard, etc., into David Miscavige, Ken Moxon, and the law firm for engaging in a conspiracy to terrorize private citizens such as yourself in an attempt to deprive citizens of their Civil Rights.

5. David Miscavige, Ken Moxon, and their toady law firms and PI's that suckle the teats of the Scientology Whore of Babylon are petty thugs, punks, and fascists who have sold out. Thugs use bullying tactics and are always cowards. They are afraid of being exposed for being who they really are. You need to push them back very hard using all of the legal and PR tools at your disposal.

6. Have your video camera at the ready as did Happy Smurf and film the encounter if you get a C&D. This video could later serve as evidence against Scientology. The Cult and its PI's do not like to be videoed and have the video, show up on the internet. As LRH taught, "Make it tough on the attacker all the way." Use LRH's Tech against Scientology to the extent that it is legal. Don't cross the lines into criminality that LRH, Ken Moxon, DM, GO, and OSA did.

I did respond to the attorney whose name is on my C&D: Andrew Wilson, a wog private attorney that has long whored his services to the cult and which has made him rich.

I told him his letter was a crock of shit and that I treated it as such. I took a dump and wiped my ass with it.

That's how much I thought of hm & his letter & I dared him to come after me. BTW, his longtime Scientology assistant, paralegal Aron Mason, has been imprisoned in the SP Hall of the RPF at Gold Base for over a year now.
