Cult windup toy Jeff Stone is trying to sneak his anti-picketing legislation in again on January 6.
AGENDA Scroll down to item 3.28, Ordinance 884 Stone, and the cult, will keep trying to get this through until it passes. Count on it! Quote:

Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
Stone is also looking to pass Ordinance No. 888 which appears to be related:

County of Riverside - Ordinances It would be good to attend this meeting in numbers to make sure the Supervisors are equipped with solid information as they contemplate this dangerous piece of legislation. |

This is basically a con job. It's been made, IMO (and I haven't done the math on this), even more hostile to picketers at Gold. While it would be more reasonable in the typical anti-residential picketing scenarios, i.e. real homes on normal lots, if you apply this same language to Gold, you end up with any protesters IMO forced to the other side of the highway and, perhaps, even into unwalkable areas. Someone with a good grasp of cartography should figure out what's prohibited under the old language as compared to the new language. Old language: http://www.clerkoftheboard.co.rivers...5_08/03.02.pdf New language: http://www.clerkoftheboard.co.rivers...6_09/03.28.pdf Also, I notice the only other thing on the policy agenda from cult whore Stone is something about beetles. Does Stone actually do anything besides suck cult cock? I hope someone is opposing him in the next election. |

Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
May I suggest that Muldrake's analysis would be a very good talking point for anyone writing the Board of Supervisors? Obviously he posted AFTER I wrote them. I don't wanna be a pest. Just sayin'

Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
Residential Dwelling is defined as "any permanent building being used by its occupants solely for non-transient residential uses". (emp added.)
(But it doesn't seem to define residential uses.) BTW, 888 is a very lucky number for Chinese and Scilons. Last edited by DeathHamster; 01-01-2009 at 09:25 AM.. |

Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
what's the name local newspaper(s) popular in this area?
just a thought - but seems to me this situation w/ riverside is escalating to the point of needing a new breed of poon. maybe a small ad of some sort placed in this coming sunday paper that would roust irate residents to possibly show up the 6th? how awesome wuld it be for a few joe blow citizens to speak up to the supervisors w/ their own complaints of living next to the cult's compound in the context of "i for one support the picketers at gold, and hope they continue" CofS Exit Survey ~ Timeline v2.0 ~ Wikileaks Research Portal ~ My Blog Anon Info Packs - When a flyer isnt enough ammo to get the job done |

Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
The Press-Enterprise is certainly no Clearwater Sun or St. Petersburg Times.
The most recent stories on this issue seemed inclined to follow Stone's lead, but that might have been the reporter: Riverside County supervisors OK limits on picketing in residential neighborhoods | Politics | PE.com | Southern California News | News for Inland Southern California Riverside County board puts residential picketing restraints on hold | Riverside County | PE.com | Southern California News | News for Inland Southern California Other stories: Arizona to extradite Scientology protester to Riverside County February 8, 2007, Kenny Klein, Press-Enterprise Hemet and San Jacinto briefs 11/7 November 6, 2007, Jessica Logan, Press-Enterprise Judge OKs picketing of church February 21, 1998, Susan Thurston, Press-Enterprise Scientologists' presence in Inland area dates back to 1960s January 15, 2008, Gregor McGavin, Press-Enterprise Scientology golf links off limits June 20, 2007, Herbert Atienza, Inland News, Press-Enterprise |

Rather - i'm thinking buy a print add, "open letter to the denizens near hemet" kind of thing. short/sweet to the point, possibly list link to barbs topix forum article online if it gets posted. and perhaps have a good chance ad sales dept will want the bucks without thinking twice about the content. Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
Yes, the cult is trying to sneak this through. Vigilance is required, and good work has been done by those who have been monitoring this issue.
Key phrases in the revised language, are the "50 foot" description (from property lines) and the use of the term "sidewalk". Issues that need clarification would be: Does this "50 foot" setback, apply to ALL property lines (of the picketed person or organization)? If so, that could push picketers hundreds of yards or more up a road, from where actual "residence" is. (See reference map from the Riverside County Planning Department, with "approximate" property lines shown, below) The term "sidewalk" needs to be changed, to something like "public access easement area," as there are numerous roads in rural areas of Riverside County that do not have a constructed "sidewalk". ![]() (You may have to click on the thumbnail above, to see a larger view). |

Re: Riverside, TO THE HARPOONS
A better map appears on a prior thread (linked below).
The parcels which could be said to hold residences, are the 2 "diagonal" boundaries which surround the highway (not the "K" shaped one, nor the one above the "K" shaped parcel). The impact of the proposed language, would effectively block protests along the entire length of the cult's properties on the side of Highway 79, except for 50 feet beyond their furthest edges. Apparently, someone worked overtime, to come up with language that would have this sort of impact. Now we know, why DM (apparently) missed the New Year's event. But why is Jeff Stone pushing this? Has Jeff Stone been blackmailed? Observations on 300 ft. Limit in Riverside |
