It was during the PR flap after the BBC panorama "Scientology & Me" and they had Mike Rinder and Bob Keenan on the show. The former TalkSport DJ, Mike Mendoza, was known to have some previous friendly contact with the cult, possibly even being the Mike Mendoza on the scientology completions list. Mark Bunker made the effort to place an international phone call to the show's phone-in especially to talk to Mike Rinder and they cut him off.

I wasn't saying don't phone. Just bear in mind the dumbed-down nature of the programming and adjust accordingly. The other problem is that he has too many other topics on the go at the same time and they tend let people rabbit on about almost anything. I can't listen for too long before wanting to stick my head in a bucket of offal.
Also, just pointing out some amusing related history re: the former DJ and the Rinder incident.
