Ich bin nicht damit einverstanden, dass irgendwelche Interessensgruppen den Tod meines Bruders für ihre Zwecke missbrauchen. Ich erwarte von jedem den nötigen Respekt vor dem tragischen Tod meines Bruders, Ich wehre mich daher gegen jegliche Verbreitung von Halb- oder Unwahrheiten, die mit seinem Tod irgendwelche Unterstellungen verbinden und bestehe auf nachweisbaren Fakten.

Ich distanziere mich hiermit klar von allen Bestrebungen und Versuchen jener, die den Tod meines Bruders für irgendwelche Kontroversen und subjektiven Interessen missbrauchen wollen und werde es nicht zulassen, mich zum Werkzeug irgendeiner Seite machen zu lassen.

Ich bin weiterhin damit befasst, Informationen über Uwes Leben zu sammeln und werde dann für mich entscheiden, welche weiteren Schritte ich unbeeinflusst von dritter Seite unternehmen sollte oder auch nicht. Ich bitte alle, dies zu respektieren.

Wer immer daran interessiert ist auf welchem Stand ich aktuell bin kann sich gerne hier an mich mit der Bitte wenden ihm oder ihr die aktuellen Informationen in einer persönlichen Nachricht zukommen zu lassen.
Und ich bin nach wie vor sehr dankbar über jede objektive Information über Uwes Leben in der Sea Org. Ich weiß jetzt schon viel mehr aber lange noch nicht genug. Noch einmal vielen Dank an alle die mich in diesem Board mit Informationen über Uwe versorgt haben.

I doubt Anyone was using Mr.Uwe Stuckenbrock's death to further any ulterior agenda People were outraged at the appearant lack of Medical care and the false promises that lead People to believe to be healed They need to spend more money on more scientology-cult courses and do not want Any moe People falling victim to such abuse and false hope.May The Peace Of God Be With His Loved Ones.

He doesn't want to be exploited. This is a sad time for him, not a publicity opportunity.
We had no facts, did we? Even cause of death has not been released. Jumping on to a press release was a big mistake, but there were self-appointed experts with *good ideas* attacking those with sense and experience.

This is nothing but heart-break. There has been no investigation that I am aware of into the death of his brother.

We can all learn from this and take a moment to reflect on the countless losses suffered by many families and friends over the years. These are sensitive issues. Life and death.

Ok, i fully respect Markus wish.

But let me get some facts straight here.
I thought that he wanted the tragic story of his brother's death to be known, because he wrote this message on the ex scientology messageboard.

The press release that was worked on in this thread
AP Ready Press Release On Uwe's Death
served the purpose to make this story known, but also the purpose to make the bad conditions in the RPF known.
We tried to keep it factual and actually i can't find anything nonfactual in the last draft of the press release, especially there is nothing disrespectful of his father nor any mention that Uwe was born in Stuttgart.
Afaik the press release wasn't send out yet anyway.

Kent of the University of Alberta (a recognized expert in new religious movements), the program is a brainwashing prison labor camp comparable to Soviet gulags. Ex-members who were held in the RPF have consistently described the program as involving forced physical confinement, forced confessions, sleep deprivation, inadequate nutrition, squalid living arrangements, hours of physical labor, mail censorship, and an intensive study of Scientology material. Officially, participation is voluntary. However, there are many accounts of escapees being forced to return. Armed guards and motion sensors are used to keep the “volunteers” within the property’s boundaries.

RPF facilities are located the "Flag Base" in Clearwater, Florida, the "Gold Base" in Gilman Hot Springs, California, and the Pacific Area Command Base (PAC Base) in Hollywood, California, where Stuckenbrock had been held since 2001.

According to accounts from ex-members, medical conditions in RPF facilities are quite poor. The combination of labor, exercise, sleep, and diet weakens most inmates, and those with outstanding medical problems are routinely denied treatment. A former member of the RPF, Bruce Hines, remembers Stuckenbrock’s time in the RPF “Yes, Uwe arrived to the Int RPF in 1997. I immediately recognized the wobbly walk as stemming from MS, before I even heard that he had it” Hines goes on to recall some of the treatment Stuckenbrock received from the The Church of Scientology. “One of the steps of New OT V addresses physical conditions and chronic somatics with an elaborate series of processes.”

Another member of the RPF , under conditions of anonymity, wrote a public letter in October of 2004 detailing Stuckenbrock’s decline “Over the last 3 years, I have watched him getting worse and worse, though it seems that he is getting some of [sic.] attention and care. When he arrived he had a hard time walking by himself, and this has deteriorated to the point of needing full time around the clock assistance. He always has one or two other RPFers caring for him, as at this point he cannot even make it to the bathroom by himself. He cannot walk at all now and he has to be taken around in a wheel chair. What I don't understand is that although he is being treated with a lot of natural foods and juices and vitamins and assists he's getting worse and worse.”

Despite Scientology’s avowed distaste for the interference of modern medicine, Stuckenbrock reportedly did receive some medical care in 2004. “He does go to the local hospital sometimes with two people escorting him. He's getting checkups at LA County Hospital or somewhere, where the church is getting free service on Medicare, because we RPFers simply don't have any money for any medical bills. Not long ago, we had to prepare a separate room for him on the 2nd floor in the West wing, [sic.] next to the stairwell towards Catalina Street. He had been in the hospital and in critical condition.”

Uwe’s brother Markus was informed of his brother’s death when his father, a Scientologist living in Germany, called him. “Last [T]uesday 07.10.2008 at 22:30 I was informed by my father, staff at Dianetics Stuttgart, that Uwe had died of an inflammation.” These are the only details Markus has of his brother’s death. He has posted the news on forums at Ex Scientologist in an effort to get answers.

As i understood it, this wasn't intended as an actual press release. The name of the thread suggests so, but then in the thread only the script for the video was discussed.
The first versions of this video contained a lot of assumptions and propaganda. That's why we worked on the script to get it more factual. In the process a lot of videos were uploaded to YouTube, but not anything "official" as far as this can get with a non-organization like Anonymous, where anyway every individual can and will do how it wishes.

If you search 'Stuckenbrock' there seem to be some 30 videos in ten different versions...

Can anyone advise on which video's might be propagandistic rather than factual?

Yes, !BUT! - Far better to have his family as an appreciative ally - then the harpoons are so much more effective. And he doesn't seem to be asking us to actually stop, or even to 'tone it down' - but to stick to what is factually accurate.

Part of the problem is maybe we need to know what's being said that's causing him and his family to be upset. Surely we can agree to stick to the facts? And if the family is aware of half-truths out there, to tell us what they are.

I think we're pretty good at self policing - once we know which are the SPECIFIC things he's objecting to.

If we're not careful with this, we may end up causing more harm than good and the one thing we can't afford to do is mess this up with what little information we have.

Our goal is to disseminate the evidence and facts as we have them, not spread misinformation and half-truths or things that may be true. Scientology does a good job of that all on it's own.
