Anyone else get one?

A lawyer just came to my door to deliver a "cease and desist" letter from scientology! How did they get my name?! The only way me and my husband can think of is a crooked cop who pulled us over after the protest must have given our info over. (as seen in this video). We were masked the ENTIRE time.

So they believe you are a member of anonymous. That means nothing considering they can prove you have even done anything wrong! This letter reeks of Aids and Fail. Sounds liek they're trying to make you feel guilty by association.

Reply to tell them you've done nothing illegal and don't intend to do so, so if they try and link you to any terrorist activities, it's libel.

Yah, I laughed at the lawyer and told him it was b/s. Im just surprised they got my name. Spelled my husband's name wrong though LOL

So they are trying to stop you from using your freedom of speech, well i don't know what to do about that, you could protest it in court but then you would be namefagged for sure and possibly fail gamed, you could ignore it but that would result in lawsuit, you could put it in the media and show it as an example of their 'we're free speech as long as it isn't against us' attitude, but once again you'll be outed and what not. I don't know, you'll probably get a whole lot more advice from people who actually know what they're talking about. I'd suggest talking to Magoo or Bunker they would probably have the best advice. Fact is they are trying to take away your freedom of speech and that is unconstitutional. Stay strong you'll get through this.

Seems they've changed the wording a bit from the first batch of C&Ds they sent out. Notice the phrase, "If you have knowingly participated in illegal activities associated with Anonymous..." while the first C&Ds basically said, "We know you're breaking the law and if you don't stop we'll tell the authorities."

Obviously, the whole point is, "We know who you are!" Like everyone else is saying, just ignore it. Or maybe have it framed - I know I would if I got one of those.

Yeah, that's just their "subtle" "we know where you live, we know who you are, we know where you work, we know where your parents work, and we know where they live too" message. It's got some bullshit stuff added to it to scare you and to make it less illegally threatening, but it's just a dumbass threat that probably cost them thousands of dollars (paid to the PIs) to produce.

Screw them. If they can prove you did something they wouldn't be sending you a dodgey letter. Keep it in the hope that during the upcoming court ordered dissolution and settling of damages it will be worth $10,000 by way of Scientology being forced to make an apology for being such a litigious horses ass and attempting to use money's intersection with the law to threaten without evidence in an effort to intimidate.

Keep it for the days in future times when you tell your grandchildren about the time you stood up against literal evil, it's a badge of honor from them to you.

Bring it to your next protest, have some lulz with it. Rip it up, dosen't matter, you may as well ingnore it because it is weightless. If they even dare to bring you to court, the case would be dropped instantly. Why? The nature of 'Anonymous' means that while they can pretend we are sending them death threats, they can't prove them. It's up to the public, and the public aren't stupid.
