Excellent point. Notwithstanding the recent rains, there will likely be water rationing in some parts of California this summer. Here in the SF Bay Area, though, it would still be legal to waste water in the way the Scilons do. Not sure about Riverside County, but I believe that rationing time has not yet come. Nice touch that it was also raining when they turned on the sprinklers.

I brought it up with our police chief, and also researched the local laws (there are none here....even if the sprinklers made little old ladies unable to use the sidewalk). Only alternative (for us) try and get an ordinance officer out (LOL) and complain about nuisance.

i know its not a huge deal, the sprinklers and all. But i agree with Rummy this should be checked into.. you shouldn't be able to just squirt people with water on public property..

I think the prominent thing to work toward is to have the charges dropped. It should be up to the 2 Marks how they want their case to be "used" by the movement. They may just want to be done with the charges and move on, which I would certainly respect. They are not our tools. They are individuals.

charges dropped is pretty much a given.. hell police didn't even arrest them.. doubt D.A. will even prosecute the case..

after that it is up to them.. but judging from WBM's speech in front of town council and his past history, doubt he won't take it further..

as far as Mark Howell goes.. I have no clue...

The code cited might be in that pic AGP provided back on page 1 (of some witch with a big ole stack of paperwork). My zoom only brought up a few legible words, but other anons might be able to read more. I guarantee the scilons knew what statute to use against WBM because cops were called before anything happened.

And if approaching their front gate is trespassing, I'd like to see everyone who does that fined/arrested. Including the food service people, delivery services, police, the general public, etc. I know that's a bit much, but still, I'd like to see it :)

I just watched the arrest video....while that idiot cop is accusing them of blocking the driveway THREE vehicles leave the compound, not looking blocked at all. One of them is a mail jeep, I wonder if the mailman thought he was blocked.

Well the Riverside Commission can't say they weren't warned that THEY were creating a shitstorm.
Minutes after they do it anyway, they face substantial liability.

Obvious is obvious: there was NO blocking of actual traffic coming in or out.

I did notice a $cilon SUV drive in and then shortly thereafter out.
Looked like the timing was off and it was supposed to drive in at a moment when someone was "blocking" the entrance/exit. No?

Being arrested is a scary proposition - especially when dealing with Scientology. One of the Marks looked like he was spooked. Maybe he will even stop protesting - which is what they want.


Did the cops have probable cause to arrest the First Mark. I don't think so. I haven't seen the video of the arrest of the Second Mark.

False arrest, false imprisonment, damage to reputation, damage to mental state thus needing the help of a psychiatrist, etc..are all things to look at by the victims.

Did the cop make the arrest under section 602 which clearly states that the business needs to be open to the public and is not applicable to those exercising their Constitutional right. The First Mark wasn't blocking a damn thing . The cop tried to use the excuse near the end of tape that the people leaving couldn't make a right hand turn.

The Second Mark is used to Scientology. Perhaps he will pursue this travesty.

Okay I am awake and uploading video no. 2. It should be ready on vimeo around 11 AM California time. If you thought the first half was aggravating wait till you see Mark Bunker arrested for nothing at all. I was really angry at the time (hence my name :) but after reviewing my own video I'm even much more upset. The cop is so obviously fishing for arrests as per Gold Base instructions.
