DARPA is having a contest for social networks to find their Red Balloons starting December 5th through December 14th until they are all found. This is US only. (Sure other countries could, but I don't think it would draw the same amount of attention).

That means people with be actively looking for the DARPA red balloons around the country & tweeting about them via social media.

By bringing a red balloon, large red balloon, we will attract more attention to our protests.

It doesn't have to be a perfectly matching large red balloon with a number at the bottom (although that would be awesome as that would draw more attention). I suspect any large red balloon will be enough to draw extra attention.
