Even those who have been here from the very beginning admit they are not entirely sure what the hell Chanology is. It is internet activism, sure, that is odd but definable. It is an autonomous collective that assembled itself in response to threats to it's environment. That's a little “X-files” but not too unbelievable.

Now: what have we done?
I was talking to a casual observer who's ear I bend with Anon news every few months. He notices all the bad press CoS is getting and asked; “How did you guys do this?”
I told him fliers and poons. Neither one of us believed that.
It was a bunch of little things, mostly having so much control over online media but what has actually been accomplished is a subtle change in an attitude held by most of the industrialized world. CoS was considered absurd and scary now it is considered scary and absurd. That is an important difference.

A few thousand people PAed popular culture.

I'm not starting another “What's our next target?” thread but we cannot ignore the potential that us and our methods have. This shit is just too real.

I see what you mean but, just in case you didn't know it, this is not Chanology. This is a WhyWeProtest.net - a forum for anonymous people, many who are interested in and participate at will in helping dismantle scientology in it's current form.

Who's we, us and our? There is no group. People do what they want here, either to help or just get lulz or both. If you have any small ideas like you sugested have beeen working and you would like to work on, go for it! Do post them unless confidential but understand and expect that cooperation is an option, illegal is illegal and illegal gets people arrested, and most importantly: action speaks louder than words here.

The hivemind has power. Asking people to join a good cause, especially when you have a clearly defined enemy, is an efficient way of tapping into that power.

The horrible truth is, Chanology worked for similar reasons that many get stuck in the CoS.

I am not suggesting anything except that we all consider that our unprecedented success is something that should be given careful thought. We (excuse me, me and some others) have stumbled on a very powerful formula; a way of achieving social and legal change that has never been demonstrated to work nearly as well as it did this time.

Nobody planned Chanology (in advance, I mean) to go after CoS. It just happened as a reaction to something else that happened. I'm thinking it'll always be that way now.
