Only thing I noticed was that at around 5min30sec David cannot be heard because the voice over from the news bulletins is too loud.
I think someone mentioned it was an old version of the script but just wanted to make sure.

Apart from that and the lack of music (which I know is going to be fixed) I have to say its a good job. Did we decide to add the links to the news reports at the end of the video?

No need to jump on this Anon, imo. That's fair criticism, but I'd point out that the digitized voice will be broken up by speech clips and other things when it's spliced in. In the video it won't be one long wall of voice. Also I think it might still be shortened a little.


Yeah, the draft video you refer to was still pretty rough. Those sound issues will be cleaned up. I believe all links for documentation and further viewing will be put into the sidebar text, though we still might need a few pop-up graphics to in the video to identity speakers and possibly explain some Scinoterms LeSevre uses.

Suggestion for sound mix.
Since David's narration will be intercut with audio from the clips, there will be breaks in the music bed if David is mixed with music in advance of the video cut.
I'd suggest the video be cut with solo tracks of david and the other clip audio.
Then mix in the music bed. It will hold everthing together nicely if it's mixed after the main dialog tracks are cut.

Edit: Good point. I *think* the sound people have that covered. I'm not one of them so I don't know for sure, though.

Edit again: Listening to the new mix now. The music definitely helps, and I think we've got our sound pretty much nailed. The TTS Anons seem to appear from nowhere when we need them so we can probably get another TTS version done if we want to talk more about tweaking the ending (or any other part).

Well here's my opinion. This video is cliche and boring and nobody outside of chanology is going to give a shit about yet another video with some computer voice droning on at them about boring shit. All of the effort spent making this could have been used to do something creative that could actually get people's attention. Carry on you magnificent bastards!

We're on the final polishing stage. The major construction is done.

Beta 4 is looking really good to me (I'm a tiny bit biased, hehe)
Some sound editing and music will really round the video up, I don't mind the documents/text being a part of it as it's not only something that's commonly done, but also our obligation, in a way.

One thing I do mind however is the black animated transaction video.

This has almost no influence on the message we're trying to deliver (if anything $sci *is* dark), rather it's a matter of aesthetics and personal preference.

Despite our past video production I've came to think of anonymous as white angles...
In other words, White and light would be my choice :)

I made a template to illustrate my point: I prefer "dynamic transactions", basically when ever camera pauses a new clip plays.
It's probably too late to put in use for this video, but perhaps it can be of some use in the future.
