Okay, so I'm a young anon, I've been helping out in any way I can doing small jobs like making flyers and posters and leaving them in Hotels in my area to try and spread awareness in Tullamore. Though we do not have a scientology org here, I believe the public still needs to be made aware.

Being only 15, I have never attended the Dublin raids:

1. Because I wasn't sure if I'd be welcome (underage b& doesn' know what he's protestin' lololo)
2. I can't drive.

So here is my idea, from Fleadh 2009


Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?

I think it would be a great opportunity for Irish anons, and anons from other countries to get together, have some fun and craic, but most of all use the week to spread awareness to a crowd of 200,000 people.

If you've never been to the fleadh, hear this - it is literally a swarm of people walking on the streets waiting to be preached to. The stuff centralises around one street in the town, and some squares but it is a small town so it is easy to navigate on foot. I would be willing to be a "guide" to anons not familliar with the area, but I think mostly it would be a band of mask-wearing people roaming around handing out flyers, I think it's the perfect oppertunity to recruit.

15 is fine, you're not the first. We tried to raid Dublin's St. Patrick's Day parade in March, but it didn't go too well. I'm not sure how interested the general public would be, and we'd need to clear it with the Gardaí well in advance, too. And we don't 'recruit', as such - we inform. Could be fun, though.

Recruit was a bad word to use, I meant it in a "inform and hopefully get people to join in protest" way, but I'm not going to edit it now so that comments are still in context.

I'm happy to hear I'd be welcome, and I might travel up for the 18th.

Recruit is a perfectly good word to use. We need to recruit and have had success with targeted recruiting.

-- San Fagcisco: We realized at the Great West Coast Raid on the American Psychiatric Association convention that there were psychs on the edge of activism. All they needed was an invitation from us.

So we revised our flier to specifically ask them to join us. We set up a blog called Now Is The Time focused on psychs and other mental health professionals. You can see the flier there if you want to adapt.

Then V for Anon posts he is going to raid the Lutheran Kirchentag youth festival in Bremen - 200,000 ppl. He was piggybacking on some internet free speech guys but they screwed him. However, he used our idea and had some ammo for christfags so he solo raided them. He recruited two Lutheran pastors.

Then Hamburg picks up on the targeted psych recruitment idea. They infiltrate an anon into the psych dept of a hospital where he recruits moar psychs to our cause.

I think this could be totally epic. You have time to prepare. Also, who knows where Iran will be in August, but right now you could use Iran.WhyWeProtest.net as a recruiting tool.

Also, you have John Duignan. You can promote his book. There are a lot of things you can do.

Also, 15 is an excellent age to be. We now have two 15-year old heroes in Chanology: Epic Nose Guy in Loldon who got busted by the cult last year, and Zulas who got busted by the cult in San Jose,CA, last month.

I'm glad to see some people think it's a good idea. Regardless of what happens or who shows up, I'll be there.

There are a few practising psychs in the area so I might just pay them a visit...

I like the enthusiasm, but the only thing such will get a fleadh is a GTFO.

Hey, it's worth a try at least and spreading the word is always good. Don't look at me though since traditional Irish music tends to bring me out in hives unless I'm incredibly drunk.

Finn, you'd be fine at one of the monthly protests in Dublin because the Anons there are all lovely and well-organised.

Eh, making people aware is always a good thing and a well-behaved Anon in a mask goes a long way to counteract propaganda from the Scilons.
