West Coast Anons: Let's raid

A big annual Psychiatry convention is gearing up for San Francisco, CA on May 16-21st (Saturday-Thursday), and Scientology plans to be there en masse with a mob of (gigglesnort) 2,000 protesters, as well as set up their lameass CCHR "Industry of Death" exhibit right next door.



Note: This flyer is to advertise the PROTEST MEETING on April 4th. It is NOT the actual date of the protest. The purpose of linking the image here to is show their goal of having 2,000 Scilons in attendance.

This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and raid the silliness out of their "protest". Our goal is to criticize Scientology's connection to CCHR and their bias bigotry against the psychiatry profession, as well as just to plain ol' enturbulate the hell out of them. Their exact plans for the protests are unclear, but we know that they are going to make a presence for themselves there. And once there's a counter-protest involved? Media coverage.

So, the only details we know about so far is the set dates for the convention and that Scientology plans to be there. So let's start planning us to be there too.

Here's my guess:

In the past, big CCHR protests and exhibits have been shit since Chanology started. Either they've been no-shows or they've been completely stomped upon by our presence, as well as they should be.

So either there will be nobody there (which only gives us an excuse to raid the Org for the rest of the week), or they will be trying to seriously meet this goal of theirs and bring in Scientologists from other parts of the country, particularly Clearwater and LA.

Even if there are 2,000 or just 30 protesters there, it still means we will accomplish a win and still have many sidequests to choose from (Org raiding in SF and/or SJ, Mission hopping for lulz, etc)

So the alternative is, if there's no Scientology/CCHR presence at the convention, we'll just all get together to raep the many Orgs in the Bay Area. Sound good?

My first thought was "Yeah! Kick ass raid 2,000 Scilons!"

But then I thought, perhaps 2,000 Scientologists protesting psychologists is a huge footbullet. It would freak out the public & make them look nutty & we might get some good press out of this (or negative press for the scientologists).

We could load up the media press release harpoons with the whole
"Psychs did 9/11" or "All Psychs raep, everyone all day nonstop" bullshit that the CCHR has already put out. Clearly link this with Scientology.

The media tends to ignore these nutters, but perhaps if we encourage them a bit it could get quite interesting.

On the flip side, the downside to not raiding them is it's probably about the only moral booster they have left for themselves. Raiding them means they'll just scamper away in fear of information about themselves.
