We know the guy was involved in Scientology at least until 2004 (if he showed at the ASHO event). Have we heard anything about people who knew him? Is his family in Scientology? I don't want to pry/disturb the family, but I'd like to hear from people who knew the guy. The press would probably be the best conduit for this, since we can't belive any new poster who claims to have personal knowledge.

If anyone else contacts us, it would be a good idea to mention to them what the connection was. Not a whole press release (at the moment), but letting them know that the guy was a member of the Church of Scientology for over a decade and was part of a lawsuit on behalf of Scientology against UCLA (ling). We don't need to make a formal statement, but it'd be good to help get this story out there.

EDIT: In an attempt to be proactive, I made a brief write-up of something to give to the press. Not intended to be a press release, just to nudge them into looking into this.

Detective Wendi Berndt of the LAPD has stated that Majorski had relations to the Church of Scientology "a long time ago" but that "it is unclear to what degree" he was involved. Majorski was a member for over a decade. In 1992, he and John Van Dyke sued the University of California, Los Angeles on behalf of Scientology, alleging that a professor participated in anti-religious activities.[1] A leaked CoS monthly journal indicates that Majorski was an active member as recently as 2004.[2]
