I'm sorry. But who the hell does Scientology think they are closing off a busy street and putting up curtains in the middle of everything? It is not for the community!
If they want to be so PRIVATE they should have had their org out on a farm somewhere away from public scrutiny. Although I know they want to buy up as many old buildings in cities so they can look prominent. Ugghhh they make me sick!

DC police have been nothing but professional in the lead up to today, so be sure not cover them in any blanket accusations. If there is no ordinance against their curtain tech the police will let they keep it there. If they break the law while they are there, the cops will let them know.

no no, you misunderstood. I am not saying that putting up the curtains were put up illegally and that the cops "let them".

I am saying that the city letting COS put the curtains up and close the street down is ridiculous in such a busy area, especially when it has nothing to do with the community.

the cops were the furthest thing from my mind, and not even considered.
