Maybe when they brought that 500 million "back onto the books from
Hubbard's overseas accounts" and into CST, (See CST Filings
Scientology's CST - Church of Spiritual Technology ) they left another 500 million over
there that was NOT reported to the IRS.

We all know how scientology LIES!

Maybe they then formed a "Mortgage Lending Company" in Geneva... with
THAT money...run by John (OSA DSA NY) Carmichael's ex-wife.


Now, having NO INCOME, to keep their scam going, they BUY expensive to
renovate buildings for a pittance, then renovate them with "slave
labor" and children, and then get a huge assesment, and then apply
for a HUGE mortgage from their Geneva Mortgage company?

Sounds like a good plan to launder the rest of Ron's loot...stolen
from his slaves based upon lies.

An ex supplied the data re John Carmichael's wife. I did not connect the possible dots for many months until the other day. Maybe we could get the IRS award for the recovery?

Interesting, but how long can they keep this up? Is this just a method of delaying the inevitable until they can find a new money scam? Forgive my lack of real-estate knowledge, but won't what you described put them into more debt in the long term?

I agree, except for one point: It's not 500 million, but maybe they left $985,890.25 over there that was not reported to the IRS. Think about it. I think my number is as accurate as yours.

I know it's all speculation, but I think a simple explanation is: They planned on doing this. They are getting bad PR. Maybe they are just following their plan, or they might have accelerated their plans (ignoring costs) to get good PR.

It's all good. I think they are spending beyond their means, or more accurately, their needs, so they are accelerating their downfall.

I think they've always lent to themselves. I've seen many stories from Clearwater where people were given loans for courses by other scientologists.

What interests me here is what happens to all the money overseas when all the scientology corporations over here fold?

I think it looks RIDICULOUS for them to be renovating all this stuff now, in light of the SP Times coming out. I know in their minds, its all about PR and making it look like they are expanding and successful, but for others who dont think like they do (Anons and some of the general public who know whats going on with them) it just looks like FAIL and desperation. IMO

We need an inside report of how much the stats are crashing and how much they have been failing. Then put it up against all this new rennovating.... and then ask where is all this money coming from.

There is a "perfect storm" forming as far as over seas money laundering is concerned. The U.S.,EU,China and Russia are all working to uncover the trillions of dollars being hidden in over seas accounts to avoid taxes and hid criminal profits. Switzerland, Luxembourg, and various offshore banks are all being pressured by these countries to open up their records or face being denied permission to operate in any of these countries. The U.S. congress is set to hold hearings about updating banking regulations and money laundering is one of the areas being looked into. The FBI is hieing some 1500 new personnel, some of whom are forensic accounts to work on this problem. My nephew, who has just become a CPA, is one of them.
A quick google will bring up dozens of recent news articles about this. I can't see how this is not bad news for the cult.

Please help me understand. This is pennies for a 501c3 that doesn't pay taxes on it anyways. Also, most of the Ideal Org to date appear to have been legitimately extorted from "donations" from local publics and staff. Every penny of it.

This does not explain anything about Ideal Orgs, which are 1-10million a pop... It might explain the Superpower type projects that are huge cost with over runs.
Also, Scientology could have brought back in laundered 'missing' LRon gold through other countries and other means over the past years.

I think that there needs to be more evidence gathered before this has any weight to it. It's all well and good to speculate, but without solid proof that this is indeed what's going on it leads to nowhere.

It's speculation as the OP pointed out, but speculation in and of itself isn't stupid. $500 million is just a number tossed out there. Nobody knows the true figure if any but the cult's assets are far from unlimited and while large enough, they are still small compared to many corporations. Corporations that actually have viable products to sell. Even these corporations can disappear overnight due to poor management. In short, this cult isn't anywhere near as strong as it would like itself to be perceived as.

Over the last several years, the Idle Org/Super Power Building push has strained the resources of even it's wealthiest public members to their limits. The cult won't be seeing nearly as many large donations from these people at least until they can see some genuine results. With raw meat entering into the cult at an absolute minimum, the cult is growing increasingly desperate to find something valid to present to it's membership. Until it can, it's only going to continue losing money.

If (and it's a big if) it can be shown that in addition to just being an obvious scam, this real estate operaton is in fact part of a deeper money laundering operation, these assets will be siezed resulting in a lot of very very butthurt donators and a once billion dollar cult left with nearly empty pockets.

Tinfoil or not, it would be good if more dox on this Swiss based mortgage "lender" could be brought out into the open.

Re Debt, you can not be in debt to yourself... you are the lender ..

IF 500 million was concealed from the IRS to gain the CST Tax exemption...

THEN the agreement would be null and void..

AND from 1986 or 1993 until now... there would be 35%+ CIVIL penalties + plus compounding interest due, THAT would be enough to shut them down and put their assets on the auction block to satisfy the IRS and State tax liens, plus criminal conspiracy, money-laundering and forfeture of all assets of an ongoing criminal enterprise.
