I think the real aim of this is 1) to shake tom cruise up, and 2) to make tom cruise demand INSANE security at events he'll attend. For one, it'll be pricier, and for two, it'll increase his reputation as a NUT.

So we need to be sure to follow up on this at every public event he does - keep his feet to the fire, so to speak. But expect resistance, and don't be surprised if they search you and don't let you in. The mere fact that they might search people prior to his public appearance is win enough.

And if they don't take it that far? We'll keep getting in and he'll be enturbulated as fuck.

But that's just how I see it.

edit - the song was a really nice touch, too. You should edit down a much shorter video with a target audience of the public at large. I'm not convinced this really has the potential to 'go viral', but a *very* brief explanation of the significance of the masks, the reasons we protest, followed by his reaction shot (less than 45 seconds ideally) should get a number of hits this longer video won't.

Re: The shorter video idea...hmm.

I'll admit I'm intruiged. TC's reaction, however, is nowhere as 'IN YOUR FACE' as the whole couch jumping thing. It's quite subtle and would be pretty tricky to use as the main shot the video would revolve around.

Do you have any suggestions as to what I should include in a shorter video? I'll look at this thread again tomorrow, of course, brain's a bit dead right now. Not suggestions like 'the reasons we protest' but some actual text that you think I should put in. It *is* your brainchild after all :P.

You left out another effect of this. If we can get him to continue insisting on security to prevent stuff like this, it'll definitely interfere with his ability to promote Valkyrie. And if we can help that film, the one being described as his chance to show that he is still a bankable star, to tank, it'll make PR for the Co$ much more difficult.

To be really honest with you? We weren't actually looking that far ahead. Our thought processes were more along the lines of 'TC is in town and we have the potential for massive enturbulation, less than 1 hour away'.

That's true. And I haven't been involved in the war on Valkyrie, as I generally feel a public boycott would merely get the film more attention. Myself, i plan to see at least two movies the weekend Valkyrie comes out, to do my part to ensure it opens third or worse. Frankly, Frost/Nixon looks really good.

Now, if I were involved in planning the sabotage of the Valkyrie campaign, I'd make sure we leak the script, an each write our own negative reviews to post on our facebooks and myspaces with no connection to anonymous - and no planning on public channels. I'd also try to get an advance copy, and make it the most easily pirated film on the internet - so anybody curious is free to watch it without paying. Ideally, anyone who does download it - hopefully in advance - will contribute to the torrent of bad reviews on social network sites. Y'know, since the film really /is/ awful. Of course, this bit of planning couldn't be done on open channels either, and actually is illegal, an I myself have no idea how one might go about doing it anyway (I've never been particularly active in piracy, though I know quite a few people in Anon have been and are).

But the most effective way to sabotage Valkyrie is to hinder Cruise's ability to promote it - preferably, by making sure everyone knows what a totalitarian nutjob he is. And his little trip to Amazon headquarters did wonders for us on this front. It's almost like Tom is an Anon himself!

Oh, I suppose the truly 'most effective' way to sabotage the Valkyrie release is to make sure the film is a godawful wretched piece of trash. Thankfully, early reports suggest that agent Cruise has done his part for us on that front as well.

Well now that the video has been reloaded with superior quality I do believe it may be time for a bit of distribution to the rest of WWP and its related affiliates.

I could only image how more awesome it would have been if the entire front row were covered with people wearing GF masks. Tom Cruise coming out and having to look over all those masks (from seeing the video could have been achieved with a max amount of 10 people, I think)

I would be especially awesome if you could have the entire front row ready to put on the mask in 1-2 seconds tops and have the middle 3-4 already have the mask on when he comes out and that the other ones put their masks on when Tom is looking the other way, with a space of 20sec. or something. That'd probably mess with his head :)
