Time to start amassing dox proper if we want to win this one. Some thoughts:

1) The IRS thing needs to be double checked. USfags – and ideas on how to follow up on that angle. And any fucktard that suggests the 1993 agreement – I already sent them that so no dice.

2) Need to amass evidence of the scifags directly controlling TWTH. Financial ties would be excellent but probably too much to hope for. The Clear Expansion Committee booklet and the Command Channels are pretty good (although they didn’t seem to care about the CEC booklet when it was sent to them). There was a good suggestion made earlier of going through the board of directors to show they are all Scientologists.

3) I’m thinking of getting together video/magazine evidence of how the CoS uses TWTH as good PR, and to show that they don’t consider them a separate entity.

That's what I was thinking. The big shindigs where Miss Cabbage casts his propaganda spells on the rich are definitely good hunting grounds for such material; it should make very clear the fact that Scientology considers TWTH to be an integral part of their "scene". I've seen him discuss that, with accompanying pretty CG visuals, but didn't bother to make notes, so can't tell you where to look exactly.

Can any of ye folks dig up material on a UK company Merlago? They registered TWTH.org.uk. They also manage this Scientologists career too (Gill Bustamante :: Saatchi Online - Show your art to the world) so establishing a good Scientology connection would be good.

The board of directors of TWTH int are the ones who run the show in terms of deciding who can print their booklets. Would explain why the ASA considered the US branch in the complain rather than the UK one. Need to find out who those directors are and ties them to Scientology.

If my understanding is correct the copyrights held by this trust have been transferred to CSI in the meantime.

Scientology is actually a series of shell companies that all interconnect.

The El Ron Library owns the copyright to all Hubbard's ramblings, and licenses it to Scientology. So when photos / excerpts of Hubbards stuff is used in any publication or catalogue, they thank the El Ron Library for allowing them to use it.

The same applies to RTC - and as another ambiguity, David Miscavige is not COB of scientology. He is actually the COB of RTC (which owns the copyright to everything else, lol)

They've had their chance to do the right thing in self-regulation. The ASA being "Independent" in this case means being answerable to the advertising companies which pays for its operation. Despite its name, the ASA is not a government authority.

While you may continue to document to the ASA how it is wrong in this case, the people who saw this ad should also refer their complaints to the Office of Fair Trading and Ofcom, which are the relevant autorities. And if they don't seem enthusiastic about it, then take it to Whitehall and Parliament.

Lest it be forgotten, this is a matter of a totalitarian organization with designs on mass extermination of human beings using a benign-sounding front group to suck members and money.

From personal experience with trying to deal with officialdom like this, your only solution is to deal with it as if you're talking to a stupid child - lay out everything point by point with supporting evidence, with a summary at the end that they cannot misunderstand.

They aren't paid to think or do any research - everything has to be spelled out in minute detail with direct evidence rather than expecting them to have a cognition for themselves.
