Well I was looking through /b/ today and i came across this posted up there

The short and long of this is that on February 10th at 8:00 am they are going to launch a massive DDoS attack on the government servers as well as a flood of our other fun techniques for causing hell for others(black faxes, prank phone calls, spam emails, etc...).

I want your guys opinions on how this operation of 4chan's may help/hinder our cause against the church of scientology in australia. I also want to know how to do damage control. currently it is sitting at 194 posts on 4chan, as of the moment, with most of them positive.(or at least as positive as /b/ can get).

Yeah, we don't support their ddos attack methods, as they will get people v& and it doesn't get much support from the public (which is needed to stop the censorship)

Models considered "less endowed" are being banned by the tyrannical regime being put in place by some old, white Australian senators. An end will be put to this horrible discrimination by any legal means necessary.

Far better to spam the net and show how internet controls are pointless, since images can be uploaded ANYWHERE and links posted ANYWHERE. I think mocking the douche would be highly effective. For example, a press release asking how big do a woman's boobs have to be in order to not be considered child porn? Do man boobs count? Are boobs with implants considered to be actually smaller than the size of the implant? Also, if a woman wear and abaya or chaddor or other Muslim clothes, does her boob size count? Also, if you are going to have a mandatory boob size, how will you be able to measure a photo? How big are Rudd's boobs? Dpes simulate child porn include Gumby, who runs around naked? What about Kangaroo porn, since they're nude? What a bout sheered sheep than are completely naked? How about whale porn? They're nude too.

There's not much point in trying to stop it because it can't be stopped. There's not much point in trying to convince them not to do it because that will just draw fire. It would be likely that some anons are involved in both this and Chanology.

Best thing Chanology can do is make sure Xenophon knows its coming so he can be prepared for any backlash related to Aaron Saxton protesting with us. Anyone can be anonymous doesn't mean it's "us" doing this. This is where some of us came from, can't be afraid of who we were or whatever.

I know that much already. I was simply asking your opinions on how it would affect the faction of anonymous which is Chanology. That and how to do damage control for this so that when they do carry it out it won't backlash as hard against us and limit it's negative effects on our specific cause. I do agree with telling Xenophon ahead of time since that would be wise. I think it also wise to inform him that it is not the faction of anonymous which is chanology which is carrying out this attack and that we do not have a roll in it. The last thing we need is for the cult to start pointing fingers at us and exclaiming how much bad people we are and twist it against us when we in truth did nothing. The least we can do is cover our behinds.

I'm all for what they are going to try to do. However regardless of wether or not you support them or oppose them, as stated before, nothing we can do can stop them even if we wanted to. What i want to do is damage control so that when they do carry it out it will cause the minimum amount of damage to our cause against the cult as it can. Remember that Chanology is only a small faction of anonymous dedicated to the dismantling of the church of scientology. The issue of internet censorship does not fall on our shoulders but rather falls into the hands of the rest of anonymous.


/b/ is to anonymous as a cell is to your own body. Unless you are willing to start stating that your brain cells are not part of your body then i think that we can say that you are wrong.

And honestly will ddosing them make a difference? As an attention gaining device maybe, but if you mean whether or not it will bring ausfailia to it's knees, then that's an obvious no.

Personally I find it to be a cop-out to simply say "well, it's not my backyard". Every country pulls its share of oppression and retardation on its people, and it certainly doesn't hurt to have some backup. I imagine some of the exes know that feeling.

There's a false choice going on here. It doesn't have to be "do something massively illegal or do nothing like a pussy."

Nobody is saying people should be unconcerned about the internet censorship. The point some are trying to make is that launching DDoS attacks on a government is illegal and unnecessary. Another couple of teenagers are going to end up v& and government officials may then use the illegality of the DDoSers' message to ignore or discredit their claims and push for even more controls on your tubes.
