Re: What Are The Risks?
It very much depends on where you live. If you're in the US, especially LA or Clearwater where Scilons are plentiful and powerful, there's a risk you might be Fair Gamed. If you're in Europe, you're better off.
If you're afraid of getting intimidated by the Cult, and they know it, they'll probably hire a few PI's on you so that they can send you a C&D letter and some other bullshit. But generally, you don't have to be afraid. Report any and all suspicious/illegal activities to the police, and have your camera ready at all times when Scilons are nearby. They're as afraid of getting caught by the police as you are getting harrassed by them. Quote:

They used to be a wealthy, well connected, highly influential and ruthless collective. A cluster of protesters could easily be sued into oblivion for interfering with a business even as they sit in jail on hate crime charges for DDoSing a website, and meanwhile have OSA planting heroin in your living room and flyering your neighborhood with "Guess who's the pedophile next door? This guy!" It used to be that the more you say "SCIENTOLOGISTS ARE DIGGING THROUGH MY TRASH OMGWTF!!!" the more people would think you're fucking insane, and otherwise nobody would pay attention. They can't do jackshit during this media shitstorm of hundreds of very active Anons, many thousands with some activity, and millions of vocal critics. Quote:

They're defanged, but expect to be fucking raeped if they ever regain power and influence. Their last strongholds are places like Clearwater and maybe LA or London even, but I doubt they'd have the balls or stupidity to do another Shawn Lonsdale. Most of the shit they pulled was a mindfuck though, like emptying your shaving cream just to make you paranoid and as a way of saying "We were here and we want you to know we were, and if you keep pissing us off..." then leaving it open ended so your paranoid terror can fill in the blanks. This doesn't work when we're like "lol, my OSA pet made a mess again! Awww what'll I ever do with you..." They've become a total clownshow. The biggest weapon against their terrorism is to just laugh at the crazy fuckers. Their only chance against us are brushtroke laws against the internet, which is happening now regardless of whether it's totally unrelated. I'd really like to know what the risk still is though. Probably small to nil if you've done nothing except protest a couple times. There's a domed thread about this. John F Kennedy, April 1961 |

Re: What Are The Risks?
eurepean protestfag here:
where i protest only one of us has gotten C&D letters from scilon lawyers - that is the anon who phones in and registers the raid at the police (forced namefagging) this anons dox and name was leaked to the scilons for 'some reason' it is a wellknown fact that scilons are very adept at making friends with police - in US especially - but pretty much anywhere they can invite the local chief to a party or something, just to make friends and whatnot... thats just how it works anyway, if you're just the anon holding up signs and passing out pamflets, then you're not a target for fair game. It is only if the scilons ID you as an anon who brings some vital to the raids that they might target you - or if you arrive be car: DONT license plates are the easiest way for the scilons to ID anons. take public transportation so far as possible and walk - its good for your health. In the grim darkness of the interwebs, there is only lulz "Cry Wiki, and let loose the chans of war!" Jobs n stuff lvl 11 Print-anon lvl 9 cake-anon (mostly candy...) lvl 33 picket/flyer-anon lvl 6 anti-handler |

Re: What Are The Risks?
About the worst they can do at this point (assuming you dont actually break any laws), is find some really petty excuse to have you arrested, and charge you with some misdomenor stuff. Has happened more than a few times before, as far as i know most all of them have been thrown out in court, we'll see what happens to the people down in rivercide though. The only person who seemed to get in any serious trouble is the mythical hacker who the fbi caught for DDOS, and that vasoline idiot in new york who's getting charged with hate crimes...he was pretty much just asking for that though.
They do their normal following around, going through people's trash, killing pets, calling up neighbors, etc. The problem is that when they do that, whoever the victem is immediatly tells everyone else, and it's made clear that: yes the church actually does resort to these tactics. Which just hurts their position more. Where i live they have basically no influence whatsoever, so i dont worry a whole lot about reprucission from them. The worst i worry about is when i'm protesting, i always get that feeling that i'm being watched...well...because i am being watched, but i get that feeling like i'm in a sniper's crosshair sometimes. Kinda hard to explain, but it has occured to me a few times "You know...these ARE crazy cultists after all. I've seen their craziness with my own eyes. whats to stop one of them from flipping out, and running out of the org with a gun and mow down a bunch of protestors in the name of L. Ron?" Thats occured to me....but then i dismiss it when i realized they're scilons. They cant afford guns. |

Re: What Are The Risks?
For the first year or so of protests, I scrupulously took public transportation, because I have a vanity license plate and the last thing you want to do is something that's going to get you remotely in trouble with a plate that's easy to memorize.
This past month, I said 'fuck it' and parked where everybody else parks. They probably already have my name and address from the planning meeting and my neighbors already know that Scientology is not to be trusted. I note that a lot of Scientology tactics revolve around isolating people, convincing them that 'you are the only person who thinks this' or that 'you are outnumbered'. That's a lot harder to do now that we have internets for people to meet on. Nevertheless, I would still recommend that people who are new to this (since I note that this thread is on the Hello And Welcome type section) take steps to hide their identity until they've gotten a feel for what the CoS is capable of, since it may indeed vary by location how aggressive they are about dealing with Anons. (Plus, it's more fun to conceal your identity and make them crazy trying to figure it out!) The Metta Sutta HCO Policy Letter 18 October 1967 Which one of these is not like the others? |

Re: What Are The Risks?
If you want to know about what Scientology will do to piss off new protesters then ask anyone from the Ocala cell and mention Zebra Marine.
If you're a protester then that's the kind of risk you're looking at. Creepy stuff. The consequences for those who make life especially difficult for Scientology in other ways (lawyers, politicians, authors, journalists etc.) might be more serious than psycho intimidation. Be careful and outsmart them. Parents freak out over C&D PROTIP: Page 7 is awesome. Last edited by Mutante; 04-18-2009 at 07:01 AM.. |

Re: What Are The Risks?
Let's be honest. you're in more danger if your dox are dropped to Anon then to Scientology at this point. OSA has done little besides send out C&Ds by the bucket full and make vague threats that they have no way of backing up. Anon, on the other hand, is the internet hate machine. If you piss someone off, they might get your dox and spread them to anyone that also hates you, up to and sometimes including the scilons themselves. Its retarded, obviously, but some people just dont know how to handle being angry on the internet, so they figure "ILL MAKE YOU NOT ANON ANYMORE, THAT WAY YOU WONT BE ABLE TO INSULT ME ONLINE." And theres always the chance that someone will post your dox on a chan, but most of the time, the anons on the chan will ignore it as a personal army request. The worst that could happen is you get a couple "LOLBATTLETOADS" phone calls.
This has actually happened to me very recently, and I gotta say, I dont really care at this point. I'll still be here, even if you know my real name, and I'll still be calling you an asshole or douche if I want :D This post planned a week in advance. |

Echos my sentiment. they have the time, resources (parishioners/victims), and money to wait to fuck people over, they just haven figured out quite 'how' yet, stay smart and safe, if you're not namefag'd yet, try and keep it that way imho, the fact you are an unidentifiable force speaking the truth, well, nothing in their pea-brains could be moar scary.. Really. Play safe, stay smart. NoQ. LRon wuz a jeenious! > "We, by the way, have generated atomic fission without the use of uranium. This is not a difficult thing to do. Re: What Are The Risks?
^^
I don't trust these buggers. They have survived worse. I get the feeling the Gang of Four or Five feel they can ignore Anonymous (mistake) and have moved to working at government level, to get religious recognition, become tax-exempt, open schools, recruit important people, take over educational systems, etc etc, basically take advantage of all the people and all the governments in the world that still don't know. In South America and Africa, for example. But the US is still what counts for the Gang; I'm sure. Scientology is American. BIG buildings in city centres. The Midget is American insofar as he has any culture. He doesn't want to be rich and powerful in London or Capetown or even St Hill Manor, not really. The idea is ludicrous. But he's also very old-fashioned. No-one needs big buildings in city centres any more. Hubbard was far more international and adaptable in his thinking. Interesting person, really. Good thing he's dead. |

My neighbors would enjoy the spectacle. Right now we only have Mormons and Jehovah's distributing materials and trying to help us. I would tell them I need help from the evil $cilon cult. Start putting cults against cult. ...and this Tom Newton business confuses me as I don't really give a crap about him/it/them. He/she/it tries to be crude and get down and dirty but come off as a bunch of dingbats. Sometimes I kinda like reading his shit as it's pretty kindergarten. |

He still won't let me wear a goddamn mask.... But yeah, I've mostly just gotten dox'd from failfags. And they were pissed off over my C&D thread, too (I didn't want it to turn into the monstrosity it became, either). Some called Zebra Marine and rickroll'd him, wrote him stupid letters saying my boyfriend was a terrorist, signed him up for shit, etc. I've gotten more of a response from Anons than from OSA. Seems that's what happens to most of us who get C&D'd. Just be careful, you know, locking your doors and shit like that. Last edited by zebrafaced; 05-05-2009 at 04:45 AM.. |
