Actually I have, 3 of them, 2 girls and 1 boy :) The oldest kinda did it himself when he was about a year old, but then he always hated his diapers and I think he liked peeing off the front porch. The 2nd was about 18 months and wanted to pee like her brother (standing up), and the third was just after her 2nd birthday (ok here is where you got me). The 3rd was hard because she hated the bathroom and refused to enter it. She thought she'd live life in her pull-ups. We finally got her in there, then it was a hate for the toilet. After a LOT of creativity in toilet decorating, it worked on her too.

On the other hand, a cousin didn't potty train her kids till they were over 4, but that was because she didn't want them to grow up as they were her babies.

Mine was a solid 3 y o! I didn't push it. Older mothers are a bit mellower on this issue, in my observation.
