I take it that you have never glanced at the fan sites for Tom. There are still tons of people who are still fans and seem to HAVE NEVER HEARD of Scientology. They are the ones who do not watch "serious" news stories and would be targets for the cult due to their fandom of Tom.

I think Moxon charges for his services to keep up appearances that he's an outside lawyer, which is also why he keeps an office separate from the Scientology building, but in reality he works for them for free, and spends much of his time in the OSA offices.
