Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
I was thinking of doing up a couple signs with the Rick'roll lyrics... >.> and appropriate quotes and facts about Scientology that corespond to said lyrics... ...but I'm weird like that...

Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
I just read this; I don't know how much it affects the way we're treated when we protest, but it could be important:
http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/a...WS03/803250322 tl:dr -- Farmington Hills police chief William Dwyer steps down; replacement to be picked by end of month. |

I should be coming with a much bigger group than on the 15th. I came with two others, and left and 5:30 mainly due to my elbow and not bringing meds... This time we are splitting up in 3 cars... Im bringing 3 others, the second car is bringing 5 others, and the third is bringing 8 others. We still can provide trans., for anyone who lives on the east side. We are coming from Gratiot, so let me know if anyone needs a ride. Also, are there any other flyer distributions going on the 29th besides the one in G.R.? I would like to suggest the outdoor malls like the one in Novi, or even Partridge Creek in Macomb. Hell, we could even see if Great Lakes Crossing would let us do something, they get a ass-load of foot traffic on the weekends. |

Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
Channel 4 did drive by, about 5-10 minutes after a fire truck and ambulance.
I'm guessing there was a house fire nearby they were covering. And, uh, having the Free Press pull the article they did on us on the 10th (it was inaccurate) probably didn't do us any favors. |

Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
to help those who are doing the flyer dump on 3/29 and in detroit 4/3(?) or whenever that date is, i have been making flyers all day with information. I have also updated my previous three that i posted for 3/15 with the correct date.
However, since I am at the library using wireless i will post these when i get back to the house. Since uploading over wireless...at least wireless here sucks it hard. Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
Can anyone confirm the noise policy? I know we got yelled at for it last time, as many were blaring it from megaphones (i would have done the same thing), but in many cities and maybe even BC they didnt have a problem. (Although BC was yelled at it for it, but it was a outdated law)

Yes it would be nice if we get it all figured out so that we could have music. I remember someone said something about a noise permit?

Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
Someone mentioned that the cops said something about hearing anything beyond 50 feet.
This is all I could find and it only relates to cars. They can enforce a general disturbing the peace ordinance though. I would think that if they can hear it you're busted, keeping in mind they were basically across the street. I had a small speaker for music and I don't think we'd have a problem if a blaster or even megaphone is kept reasonable. Sec. 18-172. Vehicle stereo noise or vibrations. It shall be unlawful for any person to be in possession or control of a parked or moving vehicle with a stereo, disc player, cassette player, speakers, or other similar equipment that is producing sound on a street, driveway, publicly patrolled parking lot or public place at or with a level, volume, intensity, frequency, or other attribute that is perceptible at a distance of fifty (50) feet or more, either by hearing the sound by the human ear or by feeling the sound in the form of vibrations associated therewith. This section shall not be applicable to sound emanating from emergency vehicles, ice cream vending vehicles, or publicly sponsored or permitted concerts, sporting events, activities, or gatherings. Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
Well, if we have a permit, aren't we a "publicly permitted gathering"?
So, does that mean this law doesn't apply to us? |

Secondly, would anyone be interested in trying to find a place that does silk screenings? I am trying to make up a design for a Michigan Anonymous flag. My thoughts were taking the middle out of the michigan flag, leaving the two deer standing on their hind legs and putting the suit and globe in the middle. Any other thoughts? |

Re: Detroit Area, MI (farmington hills?)
Some guy in Oakland County has a number that is nothing but a recording of Rick Roll. It was posted in Craigslist.
http://detroit.craigslist.org/w4m/621960601.html The guy is a White Hat Hacker and is getting a big laugh over all the calls it's been getting. Would it work in calling Scifags after hours and leaving that as the "call me back" number? |
