Pull the string?
kare11.com | Twin Cities, MN | Petters trial: Associate explains how alleged scam worked
Dis this have to do with scion framing Flynn? ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Defense attorneys asked the judge in the Tom Petters' case for a mistrial because they claim the judge did not allow them to delve deep into the mob past of former Petters associate Larry Reynolds. The motion was denied. For Reynolds, the day started with a ride to the federal courthouse in St. Paul with the FBI. His testimony Monday in Petters' federal fraud and money laundering trial was nothing short of fascinating for most people sitting the courtroom, testifying to a past that included alleged mob ties and scamming the Church of Scientology. His name today is Larry Reynolds, but he was Larry Reservitz. His name was changed in the mid-1980s after testifying in a federal check scam case. At that time, Reservitz was facing fraud charges and agreed to wear a government wire to help implicate two others, including a man with ties to the Church of Scientology. On Monday, Reynolds told the court that after he cooperated with the government in the 80s, one of the people he testified against "put out a contract to have me killed." |
