Faggotry LRH Books being Sent to my School

Happened here, too. My school just received a large collection of LRH books, mostly his crappy pulp fictions. For free. As a gimmick.

In response, I blanketed my school in YFTCs.

I'm worried next they'll try to sell us Applied Scholastics. My area currently has no Scilon presence, but I'm a bit tinfoiled due to this random influx of Scilon books.

Recently, my city library just got Dianetics, too.

Scientology is a cult.

There's a huge push for his fiction in mainstream bookstores, etc. There are other threads on here about Borders, B&N, etc. I think we should be writing letters to these huge companies, making sure they understand who they're supporting when they buy these books.

Why don't you and a bunch of other students tell your librarian what the real deal is so they can properly take care of this problem?

DO IT.

Beware: Nazi Mod. Banhammers everywhere.

After namefagging Scilons here: http://www.freelink.org/NamesOfScilons, you might find them here: http://www.FairGameStop.org. Do the right thing!

If they are like the librarians I worked with and they get a complain about a book not being appropriate for a public school, librarians will tag it and hide it in the back with all of the books with sex scenes and drug abuse passages. If you have the free time, I suggest not only telling the librarian the real deal, but underline in pencil any unacceptable bits.

Also, I love the fact they are dumping the books for free on public schools because they can't sell them at any bookstores.

Edit: I am against really shitty fiction for kids. I know there's enough out there (twlight lolz) but more should not be added to the pile.

You don't have any angry christian pressure groups operating in the area by any chance, or a PTA or possibly local government who might be offended by a little blasphemy? If yes someone could anonymously provide them with, say,

What Christians Need to Know about Scientology

along with something explaining the role of Applied Scholastics, Dianetics etc as routes into Scientology. If there is a local paper, particularly very local papers that are always short of copy or better, church publications, drop them the book donation info along with relevant background and concerned harpoons ('won't somebody think of the children??? Nurturing impressionable young minds etc').

The endpoint is not to get the books removed so much, though it would do no harm (but censorship bad mmkay, LRH fiction will convince nobody of anything other than that the man picked the wrong career), more to try to provoke some sci footbullet from their 'generosity'. It might be hard to get the process started but perfecting it would be incredibly useful, scilons wondering whether to send free books, provoking parental twittering, or to just sit there, do nothing and be downstat.

Also, what PenneNoodles said. And StillAlive. And...

This is one of the reasons I'm happy that I go to a Catholic university. The only book we have in the library that has the keyword 'Scientology' is a book about cults, heh.

If you regularly make a trip to your local library
and there are LRH books there, regardless of what
else you do, put anti scio info in the books.

We`ve had "what is scientology?" in our local library for years.
I have a stuffed it full off warnings to readers.
Also our local cult has in the past put CCHR newletters
on the library counter.
When I see them I ask "Are these free ?"
when told yes... I say "good" and walk out with the whole stack.

Great for starting the fire.

Keep in mind that Borders, B&N etc almost certainly are being paid to market the books. Publishers who want prime position in bookshops (which LRH's bricks are getting) actually pay money for the nice shelf space. So the Scis are probably losing money on it. Even if they were not paying for the shelf space, publishing works like this:

Quote:
Bookshops are allowed to order as many books as they like from you, then change their minds, rip the covers off, return the covers [junks the rest] and get a full refund. This is called the Returns process. In the UK, the Returns process is much more honourable. The bookshop writes to you and requests that you accept a return, if you agree they send them carefully back to you to resell.
So (in the US at least) they lose most if the books get sent out, marketed to hell and back, but nobody buys them. What is the best strategy for making LRH's bricks look extremely unattractive? I think the publishers may already have found it.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. Like I said in the chat room, our college got a large white box full of these books and a couple of promotional DVD's for free. Luckily, our librarian knew what it was and simply left it in the back offices for disposal. A couple of friends and I talked to the librarian and asked if we could watch the promotional DVD for shits and giggles. We expected it to be about an hour or so, but when we got into 2 hours and 30 minutes of it, I was beginning to grow completely appalled by how they were taking credit for "helping" in some of the worst disasters in history even playing on the emotions of soldiers that suffered sever Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

It was difficult in keeping an open mind through the whole thing, but after 2 hours and 30 minutes of gloating and a lot of arrogance and nerve, I skipped through the rest of it. After the DVD I was disoriented and began slurring my words. It was a very well done tool used to manipulating different ethnic groups of all ages. Hopefully you manage to send it to the flaming bowls of hell in which it was created.

Take Vancouver for example.

Scientology is a domestic terrorist organization founded by a sociopathic, bigamist child-abuser. Dianetics is a fraud and David Miscavige is tiny.
