  1. Yes concernedcoward not we are actually gearing up to open for the winter and all snowmobilers
I am sure the township would tell you about their recent walkthru with fire and safety after all the new renovations
But what really amazes us if you are a resident or just a fan of mine(sarcastic about fan.....more like stalker) is that you have absolutely nothing better to do than talk crap.

Put your comments to paper and send them to me........so I can take them and read them while I am sitting in the smallest room in our house......where you comments on paper will start reading before me and can be used to be behind me........hope you get that!!!

This "company" is a fraud. They promise clients the world and get them to sign off on $30,000 or less if they are desperate to fill beds like in Sundre Alberta, the staff is not educated or experienced in the position they are hired on for, the staff, the married female psychotherapist Maya is having sex under the clients noses with a staff member, the red seal chefs are not red seal, many many many staff have not been paid for over a year for wages they earned, the people running it have been in the news in a bad way but just posted a fraud statement of innocence.
When confronted with these rumors they will just say "oh i have been slammed unfairly" and brush it off. They said this to me upon my hire when I asked about what I saw online.

  5. I watch cable tv and I know on a lot of the US channels there are a lot of Canadian commercials playing on them due to the laws here in Canada.

Lately, I've been seeing a lot of commercials for Drugfreeworld.org on CNN in my neck of the woods.

I don't know if these are American commercials but it sure is irksome to know that Scientology is hiding behind all of this.

The man who was recently reported missing after venturing away from (Addiction Recovery Network) the former Mountain Aire Lodge west of Sundre has been discovered deceased. “Our government will not stand by while any company seeks to take advantage of families or individuals dealing with addiction or mental health issues,” said Jason Luan, associate minister of mental health and addictions, in the press statement.

“To any company engaged in harmful practices: know that we will pursue you to the fullest extent of our authority. We will not allow the process of recovery to be brought into disrepute. Our government was elected to stand up for Albertans. We’re going to do just that.”

“Based on the number and nature of complaints our ministry has received,” said Tyler Shandro in the press statement, “I have signed a ministerial order directing Alberta Health staff to investigate the facility once patients have been safely moved to another treatment centre.”

Addiction Recovery Network owes nearly $97K in unpaid wages, owner John Haines says he plans to pay (When???)

    nicole-brockbank.JPG
Nicole Brockbank · CBC News · Posted: Jul 29, 2020
John Haines was found in default by the government on orders to pay more than $76,000 of those wages, and a warrant of seizure and sale was issued against him personally in York Region last month to try to reclaim those funds.

Haines's past addiction companies declare bankruptcy

This isn't the first time concerns about Haines' facilities have been raised with CBC News.
CBC's Go Public first reported about ex-employees of Haines's previous company, Addiction Canada, not getting paid, despite government orders, in 2015.
Then further reporting the following year revealed Haines's two companies, Addiction Canada and Vita Novus, owed more than $500,000 in unpaid wages and were shutting down as Haines faced criminal charges connected to the addiction treatment businesses.
The charges against Haines were dropped in November 2017 and he paid a $5,000 mischief fine for having an unlicensed doctor on staff. In early 2018, both of Haines's previous companies declared bankruptcy and he started Addiction Recovery Network.
Haines also operated another addiction treatment facility in Alberta, which was closed down by the provincial government last fall due to patient safety concerns.
The current company, ARN, owes nearly $97,000 in unpaid wages from 36 employment standards complaints the Ministry of Labour has ordered ARN to pay up on since 2018.

Haines confirmed that Beaton's son did receive treatment at the Brampton facility. He told CBC News in an interview that staff gave Drew several warnings and second chances about his behaviour before he was discharged.
"We do not guarantee 100 per cent success," Haines said. "We try our hardest and that's why we have a guarantee to bring them back."
Now Beaton says she's out $12,500 that she took from her retirement savings to cover the cost of her son's treatment. He has been released from custody, is homeless and continues to struggle with addiction.
Deguara says other clients expressed concerns about not getting the treatment they paid for. She had particular concerns about a client who arrived in a wheelchair from hospital even though the facility wasn't accessible.

I would like to say the same thing, but I do not recommend this place. My money was not refunded even though my son only stayed for one night. Initially, John promised me a 50% refund, but later he reneged and to date I haven't received a cent!

You just have to go through the 17 pages on this site, and you will see the names of people who helped this Scammer over the years. They Lied for him, wrote FAKE REVIEWS for him, etc.., A lot of these Scammers got SCREWED by John Haines, in the End. Many of them went to the Labour Board to complain. These Scammers, MADE LOTS OF MONEY FROM HAINES, AND HIS REHAB SCAM, while working for him. You are just as guilty and in time you too, will be held Accountable!!!

    RECOVERY CENTRE KING CITY

    READ UPDATED REVIEW AT BOTTOM

"We entered our 20-year-old daughter into the Recovery Centre for Anorexia and BPD. We were very nervous at first because of some mixed reviews, but staff at the centre are absolutely amazing, going above and beyond to ensure proper treatment is given to each individual client.

John and Shelly, are quick to answer all questions, putting confidence in our hearts.
Patty, unbelievable amount of love and compassion poured out into our daughter. Always kept us up to speed as to what was going on. Also, very on the ball in replying to texts.
Elsa, an amazing therapist who is not afraid to get to the root of the problem in a kind and loving manner. She has made a huge difference in our girls’ life.
From the chefs who are so very accommodating and great at their job, to Paul, Mike, Christyna and so many others that make this centre what it is, absolutely wonderful, only wanting the BEST for their clientele.

Questions and concerns are quickly dealt with in a very compassionate manner. Calls and texts are returned in a timely fashion with solutions to any problems, or at least acknowledging contact so you are not left in limbo wondering.
Our daughter was treated by highly trained professionals who continually ensured she was not only cared for on a clinical bases, but that she felt accepted, safe, and comfortable in her surroundings. In addition to her receiving treatment, we were contacted to have family counselling, so we are better equipped to help her help herself in the future."

Unfortunately since posting this review, this centre shut down without warning to the clients due to non-payment of rent. We have not been able to contact anyone as to how to get refunded our money, especially since there is no aftercare which was suppose to take place for a full year. I personally find this outrageous as these centres seem to pop up and shut down at a moments notice. This is a huge issue as the therapists have made a connection and put the time into the clients at the centre, the promises and contract are a lie.

  22. Its too bad he's not around to face the, Alberta fraud charges. The RCMP investigation was over a year long. They were ready to arrest john haines, and he knew it!

  23. Jeff Macdonald
We were told that we qualified for a discount because of COVID and paid $8000. deposit. We were also told the deposit was refundable. (We have it in an email). The center closed without warning and we cannot reach anyone. I'm reporting this to the RCMP ( Royal Canadian Mounted Police ) as fraud, firstly because they used COVID as a marketing tool, and secondly because they take advantage of those who most need their services. I invite all other people who have suffered a financial loss at the hands of these scammers to follow my lead and report this abuse to the RCMP fraud department.

  24. Shelly...., Where are you??? Your websites are down, people are looking, for you. Have the Police, spoken with you, yet??? Interesting how many, Former Employees think, John Haines is hiding some where, that he FAKED, HIS DEATH. Because he couldn't deal the, Alberta RCMP Criminal, Fraud Charges, that was coming his way.

When it comes down to it, John Haines was a, Coward, Ripping off families who tried to get Help for their Loved Ones.

Now..., lets hope all those other Scammers, who help John Haines, meet the same fate, as he did!!!

Can't believe I have been out of the loop for this shit for so long.

There's been adverts for these things on television, so I need to cross-check that with what's been documented on here.
