I'll probably embed my video (of the photos I took), in 4k uHD. Bet that editor is going to crash as a result too. None so far can even handle that high of a resolution (tried 3, all crashed or froze up).

    This ice storm is crazy.

    Thank you for the like!

If I could afford to have it made, I would order a Snowman Costume like that one in a heartbeat.

For each and every snow fall, I'd be out there, relentlessly trolling!

Here, have a pair of Snow Leopards, playing:

Some fun could be had with the snowman costume I think. Lovely pictures Night Owl, and I will say goodbye for a little time.

Taken 3 days ago. This is the worst Dec for snow that I have ever experienced here in Alaska. It just keeps coming.

The 21st was the shortest day of the year, so the sunlight musta hit the top. F the trees, then sunk.

    D'fuck, spoiled food?!
    /facepalm

Outside is really damn cold, inside fridge/freezer is warming up. What to do, what to do...

Take everything out of the freezer, put it in coolers or plastic storage bins, put them in the garage or outside, keep the sunlight off of it. Wrap bungee cords around containers to keep light-fingered animals out.

Take empty 2 liter plastic pop bottles, fill mostly with water, put them outside to freeze. When frozen, put them on the top shelf of the fridge. Rotate melted bottles with new frozen ones as needed. Stick a thermometer in the fridge to make sure that it's cold but not freezing inside. Don't graze for food with the door open.

    Fuck-yeah-like-a-boss.jpg
P.S. Have a few different ways of cooking food with the power off and eat like a boss!

Kudos to the hydro crews, I don't envy them their jobs. Sounds like they almost had all the grid up-and-running, but now new outages due to ice and more trees falling, sucks to be there I am think.

Yeah that dumb shit happens here in Fla everytime a storm rolls through. I never understand it, it's not like anyones going to freeze. Nope gotta have the tv, and a window shaker...oh and the fridge. That part i get but dam, put the thing outside.

If someone wants to warm up a can of soup or beans, but can't go outside, use that candle fondue set that everyone has, but no one uses. It won't be fast, but it'll get there. (A certain amount of candles are okay unless your home is an air-tight box. In that case, don't breathe either.)

At the local hardware store, I saw the cutest miniature cast iron fry pan with candle for heating scented wax. You could probably cook an egg in it, eventually. (Not very safe for its intended use if the wax in the pan gets tipped over.)

Antarctic rescue ship now stuck in ice

The Chinese icebreaker which helped transport passengers away from a stranded Antarctic ship has itself become stuck in ice.

    UvbqVjN.jpg

A ship which was used to rescue by helicopter 52 people from a trapped Antarctic ship has now found itself in need of rescue – after it got stuck in heavy ice.

Having not moved for several days while preparing to airlift the passengers, the Chinese-owned Snow Dragon is now wedged in ice.

The ship was used as a launch pad to pick up the passengers on Thursday, after they had spent nine days stranded. Their ship, the Akademik Shokalskiy, became wedged in ice on Christmas Eve as it was heading towards Antarctica.

Really beautiful Night Owl. If this is any indication of where you live, may I kindly suggest to you, that taking pictures of the night sky from your location, is a bad idea.

Thank you for the concern, but I would never post a photo with my camera EXIF data included or would I post a photo of my own of the night sky of my own location.

However, I might fake some EXIF data to fuck with OSA retards, just for the lulz.

The photo I posted and that you re-posted is a photo I found, somewhere on a NASA site.

Here, enjoy a daylight photo of some Snow Geese, from my camera:
