First Evidence Surfaces of Foreign Money Pouring into U.S. Elections After Citizens United | Democracy Now!

Six years ago, President Obama warned the nation that foreign corporations could soon pour money into the U.S. election system thanks to the Supreme Court Citizens United decision. Now, direct evidence has emerged for the first time showing a foreign company has indeed donated money to a federal campaign. Documentation obtained by The Intercept shows a company owned by Chinese nationals donated $1.3 million to Jeb Bush’s super PAC after receiving advice from a prominent Republican lawyer. To talk more about the exposé, we are joined by The Intercept’s Lee Fong, who co-wrote the multi-part series "Foreign Influence."

I consider being watched taking one for the team and a great waste of time for "them", their flaggers, their watch dispatchers, their watch office managers, watcher bean-counters, the whole bureaucratic lot of them. Watch away for years on end, I am an absolute bore - but you might end up learning how to be a great crock pot cook along the way feddies, so it won't be a total waste. It's also nice to finally have an audience for my original folk-inspired poetry.

He also says "I have no doubt that Clinton wants this rigged system reformed."

LOL. "NO DOUBT?" really? No little nagging thought maybe?....

Hacker Publishes List Of Cell Phone Numbers, Private E-Mails For Most House Democrats | The Smoking Gun

    Quote:

After disappearing for a couple of weeks, the hacker “Guccifer 2.0” returned late this afternoon to provide a new headache for Democrats.

In a post to his WordPress blog, the vandal--who previously provided nearly 20,000 Democratic National Committee e-mails to Wikileaks--uploaded an Excel file that includes the cell phone numbers and private e-mail addresses of nearly every Democratic member of the House of Representatives.

The Excel file also includes similar contact information for hundreds of congressional staff members (chiefs of staff, press secretaries, legislative directors, schedulers) and campaign personnel.

In announcing the leak of the document, “Guccifer 2.0” reported that the spreadsheet was stolen during a hack of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. “As you see I wasn’t wasting my time! It was even easier than in the case of the DNC breach,” the hacker wrote.

Along with the Excel file, “Guccifer 2.0” also uploaded documents that included the account names and passwords for an assortment of subscription services used by the DCCC, from Lexis-Nexis to Glenn Beck’s web site (password: nutbag).

While “Guccifer 2.0” claims to be Romanian and an “unknown hacker with a laptop,” cybersecurity investigators have concluded that he is part of a Russian intelligence operation that has targeted the DNC, Hillary Clinton campaign staffers, and assorted Republicans, including John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Michele Bachmann.

In a message today, the hacker branded the U.S. presidential elections a “farce” that is “being settled behind the scenes as it was with Bernie Sanders.” He added, “I wonder what happened to the true democracy, to the equal opportunities, the things we love the United States for. The big money bags are fighting for power today. They are lying constantly and don’t keep their word. The MSM are producing tons of propaganda hiding the real stuff behind it. But I do believe that people have right to know what’s going on inside the election process in fact.”

“Guccifer 2.0” also invited reporters to contact him via Twitter direct message: “Dear journalists, you may send me a DM if you’re interested in exclusive materials from the DCCC, which I have plenty of.”

    <snipped>

The hacker’s Twitter account (@GUCCIFER_2) has been suspended in the wake of the latest document dump. However, his WordPress blog -- to which “Guccifer 2.0” uploads his stolen goods -- remains online.

    Yeah ... I'm probably a 1%'er ...

... in terms of my AGE (and not $). Old. As in I remember what I was doing when JFK was killed.

I used to actually BELIEVE in "the system" and the whole voting thing. Sadly, THIS election is the straw that crushed the fucking camel.

Every one of these "candidates" is worthless. Voting for ANY of them is to disgrace and defile democracy.

I briefly thought about not voting. How much is a silent scream worth? I've decided to write-in our dog's name. He's not a thief, doesn't lie and everyone actually likes him. He hasn't sold out and isn't in anyone's pocket. Not a crooked politician (insider, outsider or outlaw). His name is Mickey and I'm sure he'll appreciate YOUR vote. Deny mandate to whichever piece of shit gets elected. We're in for a wild ride.

    Pax,

Actually ... they DO. By voting third-party or even voting for someone not on the ballot (a "write-in"), you can voice your refusal to endorse the Political Cartel "candidates". If enough voters do this, it reduces, or removes, a claim of voter mandate.

And ... I strongly urge all eligible U.S. voters to DENY MANDATE. DON'T sit it out ... let your voice be heard ... even if you "write-in" your own name.

Bernie Sanders’ socialist brother is in the running for David Cameron’s constituency seat. Larry Sanders has been selected by the Green Party as its candidate in the upcoming by-election in Witney, following Cameron’s decision to give up the role.

Sanders, the Green Party’s Health Spokesperson, has lived in Oxford since 1969. Like his brother, who sought to become a candidate in this year’s US presidential election, he grew up in Brooklyn. Bernie has claimed Larry was the inspiration for many of his political ideals.

And Trump supporters were a "basket of deplorables".

Not surprising that she lost the U.S. presidential election as she demonizes voters who disagree with her. It's like calling people "SPs" or "DBs" which always eventually recoils.

But some things are deplorable. Like Scientology, for example. And the KKK. And people who promote anti-vaccine disinformation. Calling out people for promoting irrational or anti-social policies should be an okay thing to do.

Yes, but not 47.2% of U.S. voters.

And that is something entirely different from demonizing a large number of people in an election where the candidates of the two major U.S. parties were very much out of touch with the plight and needs of everyday people.

Oh, all right, Hillary said half, then you believe that 23.6% of all registered voters in the U.S. are in a "basket of deplorables".
And your dox is a television poll. Whatever class you take, go to the head of it.
  24. The Internet Member

One was a Public Policy Poll and the other was Reuters. At that time, Trump supporters were 40% of eligible voters so half would be 20%.

But the numbers shouldn't make a difference. It is the stuff the people say that matters.

Anyway, Clinton's comment was unwise. But it was arguably correct.

Remember half of all US voters have IQs below 100.

  25. That's the half that voted for Trump.

The Democrats are becoming a regional party, limited mostly to the coasts, partly because they call their fellow Americans nasty names, then double down on the insults when called on their manners. Partly, of course, because they offer bad policies, and a fatally flawed candidate. (But Trump is nearly as bad, yikes, but at least he ain't Hillary.)

It's going to be a hard four years for the progressives. They have no clue what happened on 8 Nov, and no way of understanding it, and of course listening to people they been told again and again are horrible people is not gonna happen.

What gets me is the Left believes their own propaganda. Now that they've thoroughly terrified themselves, they see boogie men everywhere, and since they refuse to engage the other side in honest conversation, the Left will continue to set up straw men to knock down, and wonder why they don't make much progress.

Gonna be an interesting four years. Both Houses, 33 States and the White House, in Republican hands. The next mid year election will be a good look at the future. If the GOP maintains their control, I think the Democratic party will fade away, replaced by something more overtly socialist.

    We shall see.

Gonna be an interesting four years.

    Case in point.

So what you are saying is, the Left said, "WTF you Right people are acting stupid!" Then the Right was like, "Because you called me stupid I am going to do a very stupid thing! So now you will respect me, or else!"

Nope, that's not at all what I'm saying. That is what YOU are saying. It's odd you try to put words in my mouth, rather than striving for understanding. Why not learn what other people think, rather than just attribute bad motives to every one who disagrees with you?

I am telling you what I heard you say in my own words. If I misunderstood you could clarify. Right now I think I got it right and you just are having a hard time admitting that basically my paraphrase is correct.

You seem unable to reflect upon the flaws in your own arguments. So you hear criticism of your point as a personal attack or snark or attitude. But it is your argument, not your person, that needs illumination of its flaws.

When I am in the voting booth I pick the candidates most qualified for the job. Whether the elites or the liberals or a bunch of people in California somehow feel superior to me do not come into it.

You are saying that the liberals should not be so critical of Trump supporters for their ignorance, because this makes them angry. And when these people are buthurt watch out.

Well, if that Trump demographic is as you say, those people are in need of serious criticism. So your point is self defeating.
