  4. Hey guize. Stephen apparently did a tribute to Anonymous on tonight's show. I don't see anything here about it and I didn't catch it but the re-run airs in appx. 40 minutes. Was gonna start a new thread but someone'll yell at me I bet. Can anyone get it and post it?
  5. Trapan0n Member

I was shocked to see this episode. I laughed so hard when he used the bee hive and penis analogy. Stephen did a tribute to Anonymous? Do you have a link or anything? I'd log to see it.
  6. I'm sorry, TrapanOn, I don't. That's why I posted. I woke from a nap and I had a message from a friend, non-anon, that Colbert did some kind of tribute to Anon, I didn't see it. It is reairing at 2:00AM EST. I'm not in the position to capture it. Everyone should watch the rerun if you are able.

"Colbert started the show with you in the first segment. He talked about your history a little I think he said chase? and he talked about Scientology (and one other I can't remember right off). Then he went to Americans for Prosperity and Koch. After that I was basically dancing around so I missed some of the information. lol These days, it seems like we have more up to date info than they have on tv news. He had a pretty decent length segment which ended with him as Anon. he did special effects to make his head lift off his body and float around. It was definitely a very pro-anon piece no doubt."

Hehe, no need to apologise. I am aware of his transformation in the episode, bt I didnt' know he went on to tribute Anon. It would make sense for the Colbert persona to support Anonymous. I can't really comment on his actual self as I rarely see it. I will keep watch in the forum for the video while I try to see if I can find anything.

Edit: People can find the 2/24 episode on www.colbertnation.com/ or www.thecomedynetwork.ca/ Since most links seem to be going down.
  8. Thank you, TrapanOn. I'm all over different boards trying to alert everyone. I'm surprised there isn't a mega-thread here about it, yet.
  9. Just saw it. Funny. Does not disappoint.

Hehehe. I think he enjoys the fact that Anon generally likes him and so he can get away with being more than a bit cheeky lol.

  15. He almost always shows his true self. He's just sarcastic about it. His whole shtick is pretending to be an "O'Reilly" analogue, while humorously expressing his more progressive agenda. He's like Jon Stewart, only funnier.

So here's a question for you.

He's sent us two episodes worth of...support, messages, challenges, call it whatever you want.

Does Anonymous respond? And how? A good oldfashioned Battle For The Space Toilet would draw a lot of attention to both us and him with the way the media etc is now. And I think Colbert would enjoy us playing off of each other.

Usual crappy audio till someone posts the vid...

We must like him. He stole our Xenu bathroom on the space station and we let him continue on with his little show.

How can you not love a face like this?

    fify, traitor.

Colbertnu stole a lot more than just the treadmill,
since we were going after the whole STATION.

Colbertnu stole our Space Station Xenu,
    renamed it after himself,
and then NASA facepalmedly substituted the treadmill, thinking no one would notice.

No, no. When I said, "We must like him," what I meant was, "Clearly we like him or he'd be toast by now."

The success of Anonymous is due in part to the quality of targets we take on.

Scientology was ready to collapse; we just had to give it a nudge.

There's a reason Mubarak was ousted, rather than Obama - Mubarak's regime was a lot more like Scientology (based on groupthink and conformity, a lot of people upset and unhappy but unwilling to say so) than the US.

And Anonymous is organic. There are eyes on everything, and 'calls to action' for many things. Only the calls that appeal to a sufficiently large minority of Anons (or rather, people in general - 'Anonymous' is just an open-source brand for faggotry and sometimes activism) have any degree of success.

It's not that we 'like' Colbert (I definitely do); it's not that Colbert is 'stronger' than us. It's that the conditions are not right for an Anon-branded war on Colbert. When there is no authority, when there are no leaders, it is the conditions themselves that determine the outcome.

...whatever. I like Colbert. He's like that best friend who shows affection for you by punching you in the arm. And so are we. Anonymous and Colbert love each other so much we're now lobbing artillery shells back and forth in open warfare.

    It's fucking awesome.

I so want an animated gif of that portion of the show last night. His head floating, the Anon "?" and him shooting the bird. EPIC.

I just want to know how Colbert got Xenu's password before Anonymous did?

It's not animated, but an icon none the less. I shooped Colbert's head out.

Larger version available. Not HD. I'll see if I can get one fairly HD, but no promises.

I love this guy. The biggest thing about Anon to me is that they pick battles that should be fought. They fought against a cult that was taking money and censoring people. Fighting a comedian would be a fight not worth fighting, there is no greater purpose. I am quite a fan of Colbert.

Unless I smoked up missed the memo, Colbert and Stewart are Anon's allies and are not a target.

As to the Treadmill, did Anon help him get that or did he take it from Anon?

He's doing the opposite-- he is praising the things he is mocking and mocking the things he is praising.
  36. AnonymousNow Member

What he is saying in very diplomatic language is that your statement could be read as slightly antagonistic to Colbert, when he is, indeed, one of us.

Thanks for these Bloo. Much appreciated.
