She is most likely guilty as well in the fraud but has attempted to distance herself from it in an attempt to deny the damage that she cause to others, and this is just the tip of the ice burg.
(Trying to connect back to the text of the original article here)... and it even gets better than that! The California Medical Board required that he complete an "ETHICS" course before he could resume his practice of medicine after being barred! People who have studied Scientology will get the humor in this as Scientologists apply their own opportunistic meaning to the word "ethics". In fact, anyone who has read the actual text of the first California medical board's complaints against him, which I think was in 1997, will know that the last straw for the hospital where he worked before they had to report his conduct occurred when he evidently refused to remove all of his Scientology motivational posters from his office after being warned that he had to remove them, but he did not remove them all. This was on the heels of his being warned not to continue to give baby latching coaching involving lactation #1 to mothers who did not request or require it and #2 without wearing rubber gloves, something that was plainly known to be required and which he, again, was told and later, warned to always do, then persisted to not do at all times. At the time, he was still a gynecologist, a specialty he later abandoned in favor of practicing Bariatric Medicine). I suspect that when he gave me a breast exam, which I likewise did not request, he conveniently could not wear gloves, which would hinder his sense of touch when searching for any signs of breast cancer as opposed to coaching women on lactation issues. By the way, he has been found guilty once again for issues involving his handling of breasts by the medical board as recently as March 12, 2015, resulting in probation whereas he actually lost his license to practice last time, I think for 5 years. See the info straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, and if anyone can post a link or repost the 1997 medical board complaint and findings I, and others here, will surely appreciate having access to the full picture.See the recent medical board complaint and findings: http://www2.mbc.ca.gov/BreezePDL/do...2357147.DID&licenseType=G&licenseNumber=68160 Be sure to cut and paste the above info to your browser without adding any spaces. Basically it says that his ethics, personal boundaries, business dealings are all faulty and his billing must be monitored by a doctor, his ethics must be monitored by someone else, and someone else must be on the room at all times when he examines a female. If he doesn't do all this they yank his license and he has agreed to that in advance. Creepy Dr. creepy.
It wasn't just his medical practice which was borderline, but also his solicitation of patients into unsuitable financial investments which were more devastating and damaging.

Um, why would you write all of that in all capitals, is there any reason to it. He's a scientologist, we do not forget or forgive.
He abruptly took away my medication and referred me to a Scientology front group AFTER his suspension and reinstatement as a gyn! BTW his father is wonderful. No confusion between the two should exist.
Foir whatever it may be worth, it is typical for Scientologist involved practices and WISE ( Scientology front group) involved practices to fully staff practices with fellow Scientilogists.
Nancy, I am trying to be sympathetic and I think that what you meant to say is that given your experience with him or them that you find it unbelievable that others had these complaints. I can tell you with absolute honesty that I wish that what I experienced had not been true. I truly wish that I had not gone through the distress of being cut off suddenly and inappropriately from medication that takes significant time and effort to discontinue while placing the subsequently medically unmonitored patient (myself) at considerable physical risk in the process. The only purpose was to direct me, once I was distressed and vulnerable, to a Scientology front group for the purpose of my joining and participation. This would have furthered his standing within the group, earning him accolades and distinction and rewards. Meanwhile my legitimate medical problem went without alternative treatment as Scientologists believe that one's behavior makes a person ill or well, and that correction of misbehavior will negate any need for medication. See Tory Christman's account of how she almost died after being taken off her epilepsy medicine and how she had to literally escape from the elusive "Sea Org in order to resume her medical treatment elsewhere, as she would have been prevented from doing so while there. It would have been considered to be misbehavior on her part to not obey the directive from "LRH" on the subject
The content of one's religion matters, A claim of "religious belief" does not allow or foregive reprehensible behavior.
The best way is to look them up in the WISE International Directory. Unfortunately, its only available to other WISE members. There are a few older copies floating around though. 2004 http://www.truthaboutscientology.com/stats/wise/ (online searchable database) 2006 https://file.wikileaks.org/file/wise-international-business-directory-2006.pdf (offline PDF file. The actual list of names starts around page 42) If your doctor hasn't been practicing that long (either medicine or scientology) its a little harder to verify.
This information is very important, so to the original poster, please repost any non-functioning or outdated links or better yet, do so and cut and paste relevant passages to this board for the benefit of past patients and others in the future who may be encountering doctors who are bonded to Scientology. The experiences involving this doctor are valuable for both effected patients and those who were not directly effected but experiencing a state of disbelief.
Thanks for replying... I think that my comment was misplaced, and while to applied to the thread overall it was not directly a response to what you had said about the caps. I'm sorry if my reply seemed incongruous for that reason.
WOW! Thank you so much! When I posted my request I never expected to find a response any time soon. This is very important information to have and I really appreciate your posting it! BIG GRIN!!!!
Thread was started 7 years ago, and the OP hasn't been seen since, so most of the dead links will probably stay. Its only 62 messages total, so most people should be able to scroll through to the bottom. Not nearly as misplaced as KKS' shameless promotion of Trump.
Former patient of Dr Hooper's. I knew he was a scientologist but didn't know about the other allegations. He did try to turn me on to some investment scheme with astounding returns. I was already too aware to fall for that. I did refer me to another doctor once, an old codger who completely ignored my stated symptoms and pushed me into an unrelated procedure I didn't need. Needless to say, my skepticism of the medical profession has increased over the years.
I don't know if this is of any consolation to anybody, but I am/was a male patient of this man and only saw him a couple of times. Of course I have nothing negative to say or report about his actions, but sympathize with anybody who was affected by them. I can however, inform you that I just found out that Dr. Greg Hooper passed away on November 26th 2016 (that's how often I see a doctor).
Sad to hear, and at least he is free of what the cult inflicted on him. Is or was there any information about a funeral or death announcement?
You are lucky that you did not trust this man to financially and otherwise destroy your life and family. He is at eternal peace while your life remains an endless nightmare.
I had no idea he was a mason, so at least he was part of something better before he got sucked into scientology. His soul now rests in peace, joining the masonry crew in another peaceful dimension.
