Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year UPDATE From the author of the book: _______________________ Excerpts from one chapter of a much longer e-book written in Spanish. The e-book is called Scientology: The sect to which my brother fell Una experiencia humillante Google Translate
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year I am the author of that article translated by Google. Google is a poor translator and I can do a better job. Is the original poster interested to contact me so that I may send him/her MY translation to replace the Google one? Cheers.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year wait......did this person go to the authorities, and if not, why? sorry if I missed something.. head cold
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year @ "Why not just post it here?" Yes, of course I can do that (I was just concerned about the awful Google syntax). My book in Spanish by the way is very critical of the Church of Scientology and Hubbard. P.S. Are these lesbian images really neccesary in a blogsite critic of the cult Scientology?
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year I don't see any lesbian images and this is not a blogsite (take that back we have some Anons here, including myself @ times who leave very long comments). Don't worry about some of the avatars or images that's a whole new learning curve to overcome (lol). Welcome! And very interested in reading the correct transalation of your story.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year @ "What lesbian images?" While posting in this forum, an image came up of two stunning women: one proposing marriage to the other. I've seen similar images in blogsites such as --incredibly-- Thesaurus.com | Find Synonyms and Antonyms of Words at Thesaurus.com Haven't you seen them really?
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Here we go with my correction of the Google text. Take note that I’ve never been a scientologist, only a secular critic of psychiatry (cf my web page): A HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE I must confess that, from October 2004 to June 2007, I received a monthly fee from Scientologists to help them with their activities. I worked with them because they were the only ones willing to remunerate my anti-psychiatric knowledge, and because after becoming broke in Mexico I had no alternate form of employment... I often tried to discuss with Scientologists about the great evils of the 20th century, but in their tunnel vision they could see no evil except psychiatry. Poverty, overpopulation, dictatorships, ecocide and a myriad of issues were outside of their worldview. Moreover, psychiatrists only abuse the helpless; for example, by medicating rebellious children. Psychiatrists generally do not abuse powerful figures. This said, Hubbard’s and his followers’ paranoia, that psychiatrists were behind all evil, is still alive even a couple of decades after Hubbard’s death [I wrote that text in 2006 - Chechar]. Several Mexican Scientologists, including the director of CCHR and other church dignitaries, repeatedly told me they were afraid to talk over the phone because it could be tapped by their archenemies, the psychiatrists. One officer went as far as leaving a restaurant during a conversation with me when he suspected that a spy could be among the guests. The Scientologist who has taken the advanced courses lives in a constant state of folie à deux with the ancestral paranoia of Hubbard. It is common to justify the aggression that the church perpetrated against the journalists with arguments such as “We must defend ourselves against psychiatry,” a claim that reminds me the justification in Stalinist Soviet Union to kill dissidents “because of the siege of the capitalist world.” In both cases an external enemy, real or imagined, is used as an excuse to commit a crime... On a personal level, let me tell an anecdote about the narrow-mindedness of Scientologists. The director of CCHR Mexico, Rossana Fernandez, is accredited in the church with advanced levels of auditing. But in the years that I worked for her she did not read a single book of the foremost critics of psychiatry: only a pamphlet written by a mother who objected the Ritalin prescribed to her daughter. One of Rossana’s attitudes that precipitated my resignation was that she tried to correct, via e-mail, a paper authored by me that I had to present at [a conference of physicians in Mexico City] in June 2007 (“Take away this, add this instead”). My protest against my ignorant boss resulted in that I lost my CCHR job. But Jan Eastgate, the CCHR International director at the time of writing, is not left behind. It is very significant, for example, that as the “international” CCHR director her knowledge of non-English languages is zilch. Carmen Avila, a former president of CCHR in Mexico (before Rossana), complained to me that when visiting CCHR in Los Angeles she could not communicate with his boss Jan.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Hmm. Jan Eastgate, coddler and protecrtor of pedophile Scientologist rapists, betrayer of small children who get raped from ages 7 to 11, can't be bothered to try to learn a little bit of her employees' language(s)? You know, I wonder how many Scientologists are bilingual or trilingual, given that die-hards have been educated in Applied Scholastics / Scieno schools (and their poor grasp of their native tongue proves it). I haven't heard any Scienos brought up in that school system refer to language courses or seen any evidence that many of them communicate in English well, much less speak or write or read a second (or third, etc.) language. If all their multilingual Scienos left, how would "the world's greatest communicators" ever get anything done? Squeeze a pennies out of the hoard of ill-gotten goldz to buy up some Rosetta Stone DVDs? Should multi-lingual Anons consider a niche kind of protesting campaign aimed at the well-educated that have gotten sucked into front groups? (I may be wrong, but I don't think a lot of well-educated people are walking in off the street these days and signing up to be Scienos, but there are definitely smart people sucked into the front groups, because they don't know the connection between those and Scientology.) Just thinking out loud. @Chechar: Thanks for your comments and translation.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year "Welcome to the Internets. Here are your ads." Do you mean "inherited"?
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Yes: I meant inherited. So have you seen those pictures of lesby girls? I still think they're inappropriate for this forum.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Are you talking about an advert banner on the site? (I have adblock switched on). If not, then I suspect that you might have a browser hijacking trojan? I sadly do not see any lesbian women on my screen, but I would like to see some. As for what is and what is not appropriate for this forum, this is a very <cough> liberal site... Anyway, thanks for posting Chechar, and welcome to the forum!
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year At the top of this forum I now see a pictorial image depicting two women about to kiss each other in the mouth. It says: “Escape to IMVU. Meet new people.” Now, this is a different image from the marriage proposal, which I cannot see now. Haven’t you seen any of these? P.S. I used to be extremely liberal BTW. I changed when I discovered that my ethic group is becoming gradually extinct precisely because of a liberal lifestyle that I myself used to share.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Hmmmm, call me crazy but get the feeling there may be some trolling going on here.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year This is a good article, published today, that explains what do I mean about "becoming exctinct" (Demographic Winter).
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Germany needs to wipe out other ethnic groups (again), and will then by default be considered large again?
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year This article quoting Jewish Lawrence Auster defines what's liberalism.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Hi, thanks for posting here. I'll PM you shortly. Do you have a link or online version of your book? Thanks for your translation. Google Translate isn't very good, but it better than nothing at all. Do you have an English translation of your e-book? Is it available online?
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Sorry I don't visit links, don't you have your OWN views or especially YOUR OWN interpretation what you believe liberalism is? I am by no way judging you on your personal definition I am just interested understanding from your OWN words what you believe liberalism is? That's all.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year @ “Do you have a link or online version of your book?” Yes, but as you know, it's in Spanish. There’s a chapter there that is my original contribution to the analysis of why Hubbard became insane. As far as I know, it’s the first time that someone intends to analyze him from the viewpoint of Alice Miller’s trauma model of mental disorders. @ “Sorry I don't visit links, don't you have your OWN views or especially YOUR OWN interpretation what you believe liberalism is?” Well I am sorry, but explaining it here would be a little difficult. Anyway, the link I inserted above takes you to my OWN blog. I wrote that article about “liberalism.”
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year No, never. sounds like you have malware infecting your computer, and you need to run some spyware/virus scans asap.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Presently I only see it in this forum. And it cannot be a virus. The lesbian ad says: "Ads by Google" and has a link to a blogsite.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Google's AdSense can be a little tricky, serving ads based upon a variety of points that turn up in your browsing history. The assumptions that are made aren't always quite on the mark. Clearing your cookies/history file should get things off to a fresh start. The site itself can't control what ad's Google will deliver to you. Thanks for sharing your experiences. A lot of people have certain gripes with psychiatric practices. Few quite so irrational as CCHR, as you've discovered. I'm curious about how you actually came to be recruited by the cult. Many scientologists are convinced that we're all being paid by the APA and "big pharma" to protest scientology. The fact that they're paying 3rd parties to go after the "evil psych's" on their behalf goes a long way towards explaining that mindset.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Hi Chechar. Thanks so much for your translation. There is a real role for vigilance in how psychiatry operates, precisely because the mentally ill (or those so diagnosed) are so vulnerable. Ethical psychiatrists are the first to recognise that. So, there's a real role to play, but the danger is that CCHR pulls in unwitting people who have a measure of agreement, but don't realise the rest of what CCHR stands for. CCHR's position stems from their own extremist beliefs and they often twist information to make their own point. eg. Up to 50% of psychiastrist rape their patients!!! Re the lesbian photos - Are they pornorgraphic, or if the couple were heterosexual would there be no problem with the photos? (If porn, then they shouldn't be on this forum. If the latter, well, we're not anti-gay here.)
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year @ “I'm curious about how you actually came to be recruited by the cult.” The former president of CCHR Mexico, Carmen Avila, is a very nice person. I met her in 2001 after I wrote a book critical of psychiatry. Avila is nice precisely because her Scientol credentials are very poor. I mean: she’s taken few Sientol courses (unlike the new director, Rossana who is OT something). Carmen introduced me to her many friends. I was a sort of hero since my knowledge of secular anti-psychiatry seemed infinite to them. I held an interview with a millionaire businessman and he offered to pay me a monthly fee for my services as an external advisor of CCHR. Unfortunately, unlike Carmen, Rossana, the new CCHR director, started to treat me as if I were a scientologist when, in fact, I never took even a single course (my brother did). Sooner or later this situation was condemned to explode since I felt treated like asking Tom Szasz to behave as CCHR busboy! Anyway, I learnt that in CCHR conferences they pay handsomely to Szasz and other psychiatrists who debunk their own profession (except Peter Breggin, since her wife got rid of the Scientol church). I wish I could translate the whole book to share my experiences but I am really busy. @ “Re the lesbian photos - Are they pornorgraphic, or if the couple were heterosexual...?” They are not porno, only homoerotic. However, I know quite a few Mexicans who would be delighted to share their experiences in this forum and expose the Church but would freak out with such images at the very top of it.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Maybe if I explain what I believe liberalism is here in my country. First of all my heritage may not be directly related to yours but my grandfather was born in old Mexico & he actually rode with Poncho Villa when he was only 14 years old (but got shot in the ass leaving a raid!) It was before Poncho Villa was considered a criminal but a revolutionary. My grandfather was a (spanish name) who married a full-blooded Native American women who he met @ an Indian Rodeo in Oregon (Pendleton Round-Up in OR) & they had seven kids! She was trick rider. My mother lived in poverty on my rez & most of all she lived through all the prejudices from her own people for marrying (a beautiful statute) Mexican, as her father was Spanish & his mother was Aztec & Apache. He was over 6” tall & light skinned with the most beautiful hazel eyes, who worked hard all his life as not only Sheriff on my rez (busting a lot of boot lagers & made a lot of enemy's) he worked for the Union Pacific Rail Road & spoke very little English. But when his children were forced to go to Government Boarding Schools on my rez he took a stance after they took out all his children's tonsils without even fucking asking his permission! He was totally ignored & how degrading would that to be for any man & father? Today, my mother recalls seeing jars of tonsils & his angry reaction to the Superintendent & how hurt he was! So when I talk about liberalism I know if not for liberalism (progressive) it’s what help us give our voices to be heard & all people who are considered ethnic that their voices were also finally heard during the USA civil rights movement! I will say no more as we are here because we are against a cult that resembles a totalitarian society that you so boldly wrote about.
Re: Ex-CCHR assistant, blog from last year Here is a draft translation of the first few paragraphs of that chapter. I have formatting problems I know. If you think this is a good translation, Chechar, I will finish it later.
