Sounds to me liek she's still in the business of screwing people out of their money. Will be very surprised if it's moar than her voicing self-regret at destroying personal credibility further than the crushingly embarrassing, nobody in their right mind in politics will give you the time of day, crippling reality of her nao public membership in $cilontololligy.

I have behaved badly myself and had it documented on camera and spread across you tube where it will live forever. Of course, at the time I believed wholeheartedly in what I was doing and never even contemplated that a picket on a street corner in a small town would live internationally and gain me such notoriety. I thought it was some kind of small-time joke. But time has a way of giving you perspective. I would never want to be treated the way I treated those picketers. And I don’t want to live in a world where that is how we solve our differences.

Yep, I have seen those videos Mary and know exactly why you did what you did and why you believed it was the right thing to do. I am glad you see how wrong that was but wonder if you realise just how much influence you were under at the time.

One hopes you are well and truly away from such influences because they will twist your obvious desire to do good to benefit their typically selfish agenda and make you believe you’re benefiting society.

If you’re being taught to understand not only the argument for your side in a debate but that of the opponents, to listen to what they say and understand why they say it, then you’re probably on the right track.

Oh and I agree the people should have far more control over the Government, as someone once said “People should not fear their Government, Governments should fear their people”. Although it would be nice if neither side was afraid of the other.

I have to admit, when I saw them I wondered “WTF is wrong with this person?”

It’s clear your chagrined by your behavior back then. What I can’t help but wonder though: have you examined the mind-set that made it “okay” for you to act that way in the first place?

I’m not mentioning the 800 lb. gorilla in the room…

We learn with age, we learn from experience, and we learn from education. We can also learn if we don’t assume The Other are terrible subhumans who must be crushed but instead consider their views as well. Then we are still fellow humans even if we decide to disagree.

I was on the receiving end of what you now say you regret doing. I am happy for that. Perhaps you could educate the others from that time who chose to use your methods as well?

Wright is up there, does legislative work for the church. Panton would have to be in good standing to work for him. Guess she's a public scilon now.

Guise, you seem to be under the spell of the looks of Mary. As pointed above, she is a scilon and $cientology seems to be interested in cleaning up her image. Are we gonna just sit them and let them do that?

I think many of us are just trying to be humorous. I would not trust her in a New York minute. I am still kind of creeped out by her from the videos on Xenutv.com.

Although I did post something on her blog. It was sort of a taunt disguised as a friendly message :-P I did not see anywhere on her blog site about her admitting that she was ever a member of the cult. Interesting.....

justice4kids is NOT a scilon group. AID EUS Div checked them out in early 2008. It is run by Cathy Corry who is a practicing Catholic. Corry did receive an award at a CCHR press event but has no interest in joining Hubbard's cult.

The "Mary-Go-Round" happened years ago. It was, and still is, a very funny video.

Mary seems to have moved past this. I went through her whole blog. Nothing about Scientology or her involvement with it, past or present (?), is stated. She doesn't seem to be pushing the cult's agenda any more.

Frankly, that's all I care about, and it's my only real motivation in this war: exposing Scientology's abuses to the public, and stopping Scientology from trampling on the free-speech rights of its critics. People can practice whatever faith they want, including Scientology (as long as they don't hurt other people).

We've all done things we are ashamed of, and if you haven't then you haven't been alive long enough. Mary isn't obligated to confess, denounce or admit anything to Anonymous.

Please don't make the rest of us look like jerks by posting demands and insults on her site. I'm all for open, civilized dialogue with her on the issue of Scientology. Let's just not look like idiots in the process.

I find this development interesting.

I know there are a lot of people here that feel that unless she completely and publicly recants her involvement with Scientology, she's still a Scilon. I have my own doubts too.

That said, her new-ish blog is somewhat unique. From what I've seen of Scientologist blogs... damn near every post is about Scientology. There are only a few that talk about Scientology as an incidental topic. In general, Scientology and Internet culture are like oil and water (er, more like kerosene and an open flame).

I read all of her posts. Not a peep about Scientology. A lot of cross-over stuff about being politically active; but even her chosen words are entirely devoid of moonspeak. Pretty damn unusual. She does cite a few names of friends that appear in Kristi's Scientology Completions Database... but that's the extent of it.

That's not the weirdest thing though. I was one of the people that submitted a comment on her blog post about doing embarrassing things that wind-up on the Internet. The comments are moderated, and mine made an oblique dig at the CoS. Lo-and-behold, it was published. As were others.

Never. Expected. It. To. Be. Seen.

Given her level of zealotry while working for CCHR/CoS... I assume it's a fair guess that she stands to lose a lot if she blasts them publicly. Disconnection with friends, family, yadda.

I'm not saying anything excuses her past behavior with the cult -- but this might be an opportunity to see if she's really on her way out (i.e., hold back on the flame-throwers).

Nobody here has said anything about blasting her. I don't care is she ever comes forward about the cult or not. We have done fine without any word from Rinder or Rathbun and we'll live without anything from her.

I think she's still a scilon. She may just be on leave from the SO for now. I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her but I don't plan on trolling her.
