Only certain Moderators can take down the spams AND ban the spammers. Sometimes there are lags from the time a Report is posted until the situation is dealt with. Down votes are the way to handle the delays.
In this case: It was outside my realm of moderation. I only moderate the No Rape and General Discussion area. Global mods have access to all the areas and so does Sue. In this particular instance: The delay was due to the fact no AVS mods were on to deal with it. Global Mods and Sue are the only ones I know of that can ban. Mods (like myself) can't. Because the thread is deleted. However, I think you knew that.
It's gone. As a note: If it is in the General Discussion area and I catch it: I'll make fried spam. (ie: I'll report it for a global to ban the account/ip block[?] and delete the thread).

That one has been around for a long ass time. I think (don't hold me to it, though) it was considered a legit post. Although I am not sure. Spam fried. Sorry that RL work is taking me away.
No worries. As you probably know, sometimes the spam lands in areas for which a qualified moderator isn't available. So there it sits, sometimes for hours, until a qualified moderator dispatches it. The Membership can down vote the posts into temporary oblivion, and that's why I support the OP.
I do try to react quickly. However, you have to bear in mind that I am actually at work at the moment so I can't always react at the speed I'd like to. Hi gaiz The Dox show up when the only mods on don't have the power to delete them all. In the meanwhile the Dox can be hidden by down voting. Any other suggestions? The complaints of mod censorship because guest posters can't see the down voted posts will start in 3, 2, 1...
Welcome to the semi annual Dox A Palooza! I will set up an alert on my phone. I just set myself up on Tap a Talk. It shows me alerts whenever I get a pm even if I'm not logged on. Any user can pm me when I am off trying to have a life and I'll take care of it. I removed some of the dox using the mobile app yesterday.

Yeah, it must be pointed out that if a link posted ITT doesn't connect a member with a spam post, it's safe to assume a moderator has destroyed it and a down-vote is no longer needed for it.
