thread only shows up in What's New? sporadically: https://whyweprotest.net/community/threads/our-weirdness-is-free-biella.98781/
Is it because you've already viewed it? Click 'All Recent Messages' on the right from the New Threads page and see if that helps.
'New threads' drop the thread from visibility altogether after you've looked at it. 'Recent messages' keeps those threads you've read on the listing but they no longer show up in bold. Don't ask me to explain, I can only describe.
When creating an event, I'm unable to set the length to anything less than 6 hours. Fuckeye will not approve of the later pub o'clock.
Email delivery to yahoo, hotmail and gmail should work better now, still experiencing some issues with googleaps enabled domains. (your own domain, virgin / ntl etc...) At least the quest for microsoft support seems to be over.
With gmail it is - my convo notices showed up in my inbox rather than the spam trap this morning. Thankyou for all you do!
Chrome (the last version) with whyweprotest use a lot of memory, it's weird. I noticed it because sometimes my computer slow down so I looked to my task manager what's using so much memory and it was chrome ... It happens several times so I could deduce it while testing. The last time, five minutes ago. I closed JUST one tab (wwp) I give you the graph of RAM used : That huge use of RAM happens only after spending some time here. I try with FF, but not an problem (but I can't use it for wwp, for some reasons).
Chrome does seem to have Flash issues, still. Does the footprint change when opening pages with embedded YT?
mail delivery to g-aps should be back too. Which leaves aol / aim and att. Anyone having trouble with any other providers?
I think it was happening on the French forum list of threads. I'll do some test and report if I find anything.
Don't worry.... That's just the mods using your browing session to mine for bitcoins. Oh, that and cracking captcha's for a new wave of orange box spam on /b/
Ever since the new update, threads with a lot of pictures like SF threads, would only give me about 75% of the pictures. The rest would be a little blue box with a question mark inside. I would reload and it wouldn't help. So I just visited the SF thread and ALL the pictures showed up. And it seemed faster. Did you do something in the last few hours or so to cause this. Thanks
Rebuilding the search index and giving elasticsearch a swing, It's half way done indexing. Hopefully this means better and more speedy search results.
Is all of the previously unheard of drama and infighting among the site staff one of the new 'features'? Just I think it completes the new monochromatic theme mood lighting perfectly. Good job guise, keep on moving fotwards and don't let anybody tell you your not special ^^
Well, won't drag the drama out. Stated my discontent in the current situation. Will return to lurking now good sir.
People are overcompensating for the quiet color scheme. Like feeling the urge to shout in a quiet room. At least that's what I'll claim in the doctoral thesis.
I still miss the old Thunderdome. Now, that was a site I was proud to be seen browsing with the volume TURNED WAY UP in a quiet village coffee shop. Now, I think I know what iFag ownership feels like.
Chrome is a huge resource hog from what I have heard, maybe use FF as your default browser. Also check and see if there are settings for file back-ups, temp file caches etc., and updates that may be using extra resources caching stuff like page changes blah-blah. Without knowing what your running, OS, and PC specs, this is just off the hip guessing, and I am certainly not an expert. Good luck, if your really stumped try joining a site like MajorGeeks.com where they haz a decent forum for such questions.
