Spotify Changes

"The changes we’re having to make will mainly affect heavier Spotify Free and Open users, as most of you use Spotify to discover music – on average over 50 new tracks per month, even after a year. Plus, the average user won’t reach the limit on plays for 7 out of 10 tracks, after a year of using Spotify. For those of you using Spotify to find new tracks to enjoy and share with friends, these changes shouldn’t get in the way of you doing that. Rest assured that we’ll continue to bring you the biggest and most diverse music catalogue available.
For anyone who thinks they might reach these limits, we hope you’ll consider checking out our Unlimited and Premium services."

The free music service known as Spotify are going to be extremely limited after 01-05-2011
You, as a free user are not allowed to listen to the same song over 5 times, and you are limited to 10 hours of music per month.

I do not know hot to protest against this, but I though someone here could come up with something good?

PS: I am new here, so don't be rude.

Dude, out of all the noobs with an idea so far, I think you alone have approached this site in the correct manner. Go forth and multiply! Fly my pretties! I tip my hat to you.
    Oh yeah, your question. Boycott?

Why not just turn to piracy?

Why not just return to piracy. The related artist feature will be missed though.
If i replay the same track isn't it already cache'd on my hard drive?

  8. Finally, a newfag trying to PA us who is neither batshit insane nor annoying. For once, when I say NYPA, I do so without imagining the OP getting eviscerated by a coterie of rabid Mexican prairie dogs.

    Still, my advice? BOHICA.

out the window. for that you get 1 internet, as for the asking anons on here not to be rude part, its like asking for ice cold water in hell hahah
  12. miss greta, is that a goatse wall clock?
  13. Yep. I'm disappointed in whomever did it. The wedding band is only noticeable in higher resolution, and it's not in gold.

I would advise switching to Pandora. Or pirating. Or anything that doesn't involve getting music from this source. The internet's a big place.

  15. Agreed. Pandora opened my eyes to entire genres of music I had never heard of before.
  16. may i in quire where i might procure a fine piece of machinery as that one?
also: the best way i find new music is i google the type of music i want and click on any internet radio links that come up
altho when im lazy pandora is wonderfull
  17. The thing I like about Pandora is it finds stuff that's similar to other stuff you've already liked, even if it's far afield from what you first started on. It gets better as you use it. Still, once you have an idea, your idea may be better.
  18. I wish I knew. If I owned it, I would paint in the wedding band.

Free spotify was not a viable business model. So unfortunately there's no point protesting, you were going to lose it either way.
We thought it was too good to be true...

I used to use Spotify, but I don't anymore.

I'm on it. Piracy sometimes is more reasonable despite the consequences.
