Hardly. The difference is that 1)Operation Snow White/Freakout was ordered from the top of the Guardian's Office(really Hubbard) and was an organized operation of Scientology, 2) included thousands of scientologists. So your comment only serves to prove the point made by the OP. Not even 0.5/10
From Tony's Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tony-Ortega/196428147077253 Never fear Mr. Ortega... your dedicated fanclub will still <3 you no matter what! (even if you pull a fast one liek i halfway suspect you will, and dont count Anons as an actual "person")
Well he really should have himself on there, but I don't suppose he will do that. Also, you know, I think he should have on there "Australia"-Xenophon, Seymour and the exes. They all needed each other to get where they have gotten there, and worked seamlessly, despite great antagonism against them. Australia=Awesome! Tony, feel free to take my suggestion.
And imagine if you will, in terms of "crippling scientology", that's a flippin continent that they have basically stalled Scientology on-on a membership, legal and media level. Scientology is truly incapacitated there as the public has a very practical and no nonsense approach to the question. Oh and of course, I should have added anons into that above mix, my bad.
If he can put the SquiBs in as a group, damn right the sexy Anons will get a mention. If you extend the concept of post-2008 "Anonymous" protesters to include AGP, AO, Brave Agent Pubeit/NYC Fuckery, etc. then that's some delicious crippling right there, even if you're not down with the more extreme enturbulation or entheta or whatever made-up bullshit word LRH shat out after a pills & cocaine session.
Indeed. Scientology has been Gaming the New York Times Best Seller list Former Scientologist Will Fry Speaks
Personally, i wont care either way if Anons get a mention... I for one always looked at the Chanology protests, info war & public awareness campaign as a means of enabling the victims to leave & be truly free to speak out. IOW - we built a platform for others to safely jump up on and get the job done (shrugs) but ^^Thats just my personal feelings. We may have started the war, and keep the bonfires burning... but it will be the namefags in court, gov agencies & other institutions that finish it for us. (except of course for the mandatory trolling of scilon execs & attorneys outside the courthouse at their trials. last words as they walk away in handcuffs is our endgame moment to savor, the rest of it we should be able to sit back and watch) However, the SquiBs "counted as group" argument is a valid point, in more ways than one methinks. And here's hoping thats how marty's "independent scientology" movement is listed, and lumped together with all of the freezone groups as one big thing... with the MR's getting passing mention along with other key figures in that camp like Karen de la ExJentsch, Hayden et al at scientology-cult.com, David St. Lawrence & crew at possiblyhelpfuladvice.com... all of who have taken it upon themselves to go out of their way to expose the truth as they see it, any way that they can, plus help others to see it for themselves without the heavy duty agenda-based PR spin we see on every single post on Marty's blog.
I wonder if web sites will get a mention? Xenu.net for being the "site who lived". Perhaps Wikipedia for all those doxed articles...
No doubt some do... as well as the lulz. but for me atleast, its always been about making a difference in the long run. and since its a very looooongcat long run to truly put Scientology out of its misery: Glory gets old when it takes that long to achieve, lulz & helping people doesnt.
You know, after he finishes with the 25, undoubtedly there will have been folks brought to his attention that he may say, yeah, those too would have been good additions. So I think a 26th one would be good, or as part of the last 25th one-"so many others deserve mention-a, b, c... but I only have so much space/time".
no matter how you slice it - the series as a whole is a big mountain to climb. And it takes a helluva alot of inspiration & tenacity to take something like this on. so here's hoping Tony doesn't loose any of his good sources over petty differences about who does/doesnt make the list and/or who ends up where and how close to the top they are.
It will end up being such a terrific, succinct resource. And very accessible to the general public. They'll be able to read bits here and there as their interest level determines. And the wog world gets more informed. Win.
I hope Claire and Marc have found great happiness in Colorado, they've certainly earned it. If you haven't read the book yet...DO IT!
This series reminds me of a Christmas advent calendar. You get to open a new door every day to see what surprise is behind it until Christmas. Its the series that keeps on giving and a total genius way to educate the general public and also the COS "publics" who are still sitting on the fence. Kudos to Tony for this brilliant series on lifting the veil of secrecy on this very evil and cruel corporation that shamefully uses religious cloaking and lies to fleece it's members as well as worldwide populations.
BTW, would someone be willing to make a COS calendar with people's pictures and things behind each door that has been uncoverd so far? Lulzy!
Update: http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/08/marc_headley_top_25_crippling_scientology.php
The cult is pursuing him in Castle Rock. From his FB: "As I left a private residence early this afternoon, I noticed a Scilon PI waiting for me at the end of the driveway. He followed me aggressively for miles, running at least 2 red lights trying to keep up with me. I let him follow me to the local courthouse where I recruited some help. When I drove off from the courthouse, he had two motorcycle cops, two squad cars and two officers on foot surrounding his car. Did not see him for the rest of the day."
Unlike Marty and Mike who seem to love all the crazy shit that DM dishes out, Mark Headley does it right. He leads the PI to the cops and then leaves them for the cops to deal with. No drama, just smart.
