People criticize this person for reacting the way he was reacting when confronted by a large number of people who were verbally harrassing him. How would one of those anons feel if a dozen or so scientologists were to surround him when he was alone and yank off his mask? That anon would more than likely react in the same manner.

And what is the anon afraid of? Why does he have to hide behind a mask? Does he not truly beleive that scientology is evil? If he did they he should openly proclaim his beliefs.

It would be a mistake to think that how C'water Anons handled this punk was because we were being kind to him.

I've been surrounded and hassled by 3 Sea Org plus 2 OSA agents - but as it was at a public event where police were present (probably within about 10 yards of me) they behaved themselves.

All that guy had to do was walk away. He chose not to, but chose to react.

He wasn't wearing a mask - in fact, anyone trying to forcibly remove my mask is committing assault, and anyone trying to damage any personal property or signs I may be holding is committing criminal damage (possibly "with intent", depending on the severity of the situation).

It actually takes a better person to walk away from a confrontation (which, you have to admit, he chose to escalate) than to resort to basic primitive violence.

Amongst a variety of questions, I simply asked the obvious leader of the group that if he agreed with LRH that 'man is basically good', which of course he replied yes. I then asked him if that meant "all man", including those who choose to speak out against scientology, and he had very little option to say 'yes' as 'all' is an inclusive term - even though scientology's own teaching says that we should be wiped off the face of the planet.

With my 5:1 situation, I simply out-debated them (partly using the techniques they were trying on me). They got frustrated and walked away from the discussion before they ended up getting violent in direct site of the police. Quite interesting, because it's only the second time I've been approached by scientologists wanting to start a debate.

Amazingly to me, something similar happened to me last night. I was at the Mad Picket in Clearwater in 2000 and I never felt that anybody was about to beat up on me then. But this guy I thought was ratcheting things up quickly to where he was gonna start hitting. Anyway, here's my report to a.r.s.

First Friday is when we protest here in Phoenix because hundreds of people are downtown milling around and we manage to give away lots of flyers and have great conversations.

We parked close to the org here and the rest of the gang was hanging around the cars gabbing about something. I got antsy and walked over basically to set up. I put my "if you can read this you're too close to Scientology" sign against a wall near the sidewalk and walked to
the corner with my sign and flyers, assuming the other protesters would appear any minute. A Scientologist came from their property with flyers and stood near my sign by the wall, passing out flyers as I did maybe 15 feet away from him. I was the only protester, but the 2 plainclothes city cops were there at the other end of the property.


Suddenly the Scientologist decided he didn't like my sign leaning on the wall, so he grabbed it and flung it onto their parking area. I said hey, you can't do that, it's mine. He said just get the fuck out of here, you shouldn't be here. I went and got the sign and put it back where it was, saying "that's my sign." He flung it again and told me again to get the fuck out of there, I motioned to the cops that I was having trouble. The guy gave me a little nudge on the shoulder as he once again told me to leave. I guess he didn't realize those two guys were plainclothes cops. As the cops were walking over, another Scientologist came and tried to lead away the guy who basically assaulted me. The cops told him to stay on their property and leave me alone. They also said that if we propped up signs like that we needed to stay near them. About that time the other protesters came over and I told them what happened. I'll put video of the guy up later to see if anyone recognizes him because he seemed to be new
here.

Other than that it was a great evening. We had nice conversations and handed out many flyers. I think there were 9 protesters. The Anons had some great new t-shirts as well. We were there from 6:30 to about 10pm.

Oh, 3 kids maybe age 10 came up with hand-written signs on regular 8 1/2 X 11 papers saying "I love Scientology." I figured they were Scientology kids but one Scientologist seemed to think they were adorable and treated them as a novelty, so I don't really know what that was about.
